2008 United States Figure Skating Championships
The 2008 U.S. Figure Skating Championships took place between January 20 and 27th at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Skaters competed in four disciplines – men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing – across three levels of competition – senior, junior, and novice. Medals were awarded in four colors: gold (first), silver (second), bronze (third), and pewter (fourth). The event was used to determine the U.S. teams for the 2008 World Championships, 2008 Four Continents Championships, and 2008 World Junior Championships. Denis Petukhov
Denis Alexandrovich Petukhov (russian: Денис Александрович Петухов; born October 6, 1978) is a retired Russian-American ice dancer. With his wife Melissa Gregory, he is the 2005 Four Continents silver medalist, a 2006 United States Olympic team member, and a four-time (2004–07) U.S. national silver medalist. Personal life Petukhov was raised in Kirov by his mother, Lubov. He has one younger sister, Natalia. Gregory and Petukhov were married in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 2, 2001. The next month they flew to Kirov, Russia so that Petukhov's family could celebrate their marriage as well. The couple's son, Daxton Dale Petukhov, was born on November 21, 2014. Tommy Steenberg
Tommy Steenberg (born November 23, 1988 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American retired figure skater. He won three gold medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series and placed ninth at the 2008 World Junior Championships. Tommy Steenberg is a PSA Master Rated Choreographer and Free Skating Coach. He competed internationally for Team USA for 8 years. His competitive accomplishments include: 3x Junior Grand Prix Champion, 10x national competitor (2001-2010), 3x national medalist (intermediate, novice, and junior), 2008 Regional and Sectional Champion, and 2008 Junior World top 10 finisher. Shaun Rogers (born July 22, 1985) is an American former competitive figure skater. He won silver medals at the 2007 Nebelhorn Trophy and 2008 Finlandia Trophy, two medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series, and placed eighth at the 2005 World Junior Championships. Ryan Scott Bradley (born November 17, 1983) is an American former competitive figure skater. He is the 2008 Skate Canada International silver medalist, the 2009 Skate America bronze medalist, the 2011 U.S. national champion, and a three-time U.S. Collegiate champion. Stephen Carriere (born June 15, 1989) is an American former competitive figure skater. He is the 2007 World Junior champion, 2006 JGP Final champion, and 2008 U.S. national bronze medalist. The Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final (formerly Champions Series Final), often shortened to ''Grand Prix Final'' and abbreviated as ''GPF'', is a senior-level international figure skating competition. The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (titled the ISU Junior Series in the 1997–98 season) is a series of international junior-level competitions organized by the International Skating Union.
