The 2008 Thailand League Division 2 Group A had 11 teams. The league winners and runners up were promoted to Thailand Division 1 League. No teams would be relegated due to restructuring at the end of the season. Prachinburi FC
Pluakdaeng United Football Club (Thai สโมสรฟุตบอลปลวกแดง ยูไนเต็ด ) or formerly Prachinburi Football Club (Thai สโมสรฟุตบอลจังหวัดปราจีนบุรี ) is a Thailand professional football club based in Rayong Province after relocating from Prachinburi Province in 2012. The club is currently playing in the Thai League 3 Eastern region. History The club was founded in 2005 but took their first steps on the Thai professional league setup in 2007 when they played in Division 2 which was at the time a league that was at step 3 and was a national league, unlike today's system of regional leagues at step 3. Prachinburi finished in third position in their debut season but missed out on promotion as only two clubs at the time were promoted. Provincial League
Provincial League (formerly known as Professional League) also known as Pro League was the old regional Football league in Thailand in 1999–2008. It was founded in 1999 under the name "Provincial League" organized by Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) and Ministry of Tourism and Sports. The name was changed to "Professional League" in 2004 and then changed back to "Provincial League" in 2007. Before combining with Thailand Division 2 League in 2009, The Pro League was contested by clubs from provinces of Thailand divided into 5 regions. During 1999–2004, Provincial League was competed parallel with Thai Premier League (also see Thai football league system). The winners and runners-up from each regions will play in playoff matches in the tournament at the end of a season. The top two teams are promoted to Thailand Division 2 League. Ratchaburi ( th, ราชบุรี, ) or Rajburi, Rat Buri) is a town (''thesaban mueang'') in western Thailand, capital of Ratchaburi Province. Ratchaburi town covers the entire ''tambon'' Na Mueang (หน้าเมือง) of Mueang Ratchaburi District. As of 2017 it had an estimated population of 36,169, down from 38,149 in 2005. Prachinburi ( th, ปราจีนบุรี, , ) is a town (''thesaban mueang'') in central Thailand, capital of Prachinburi Province. It covers the entire tambon Na Mueang of the Mueang Prachinburi District (city district). As of 2000, the population of the town was 25,157. Narathiwat ( th, นราธิวาส, ) is a town (thesaban mueang) in southern Thailand and capital of Narathiwat Province. The town is in the Mueang Narathiwat District and was established in 1936.
