The 2008 MLS SuperDraft took place on January 18, 2008 in Baltimore, Maryland. It was the ninth annual Major League Soccer SuperDraft. The first selection was made by the Kansas City Wizards, after acquiring the selection from the expansion San Jose Earthquakes. It was followed by the Supplemental Draft. Billy Chiles
Billy Chiles (born January 14, 1985 in Washington, DC) is an American retired soccer player who is currently an assistant coach for the South Florida Bulls. Career Youth and College Chiles grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland, and played college soccer at Towson University, where he was a NSCAA 2nd Team All American, was named to the 1st Team All-CAA, and the CAA All Tournament Team in 2007-2008 Professional Chiles was drafted by Columbus Crew in the first round (6th overall) of the 2008 MLS Supplemental Draft, and spent the 2008 pre-season training the team, but ultimately was not offered a professional contract. Pat Healey (born December 20, 1985) is an American soccer coach and former soccer player who is currently the head coach and general manager of the Harrisburg Heat in the Major Arena Soccer League. College Healey, who was born in Baltimore, Maryland and is the son of Kevin Healey (the President and General Manager of the Baltimore Blast), grew up in Bel Air, Maryland, attended Calvert Hall College High School, and played college soccer at Towson University. Kraig Chiles (born May 14, 1984) is an American soccer player currently playing for the San Diego Sockers in the Major Arena Soccer League. Career Youth and college Chiles played high school soccer for Poway High School in Poway, California, and remains one of the school's all-time leading goalscorers. At San Diego State University he was named to the All-Pac-10 team three times, including First Team All-Pac-10 senior year. Kraig scored 21 goals and had 12 assists in his four years with the Aztecs. Chivas USA (pronounced ''CHEE-vahs'') was an American professional soccer team based in the Los Angeles suburb of Carson, California. The club played from 2005 to 2014 in Major League Soccer (MLS) and was a subsidiary of Mexican club C.D. Guadalajara, sharing common ownership and branding.
