Arena Fyn
Arena Fyn, officially known as the Jyske Bank Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a sports and concert arena in the southeastern part of the Danish city of Odense. It has an area of and can accommodate 4,000 spectators at sporting events and 5,500 at concerts, where the floor is used. Construction The agreement about the construction of Arena Fyn was made in autumn 2005 and by March 2007 the arena was finished. The price of building was 90 million Danish kroner. Use The Scottish band Travis had a concert in the arena in the October 2007. It is also used for sports, including the Nordea Danish Open. The handball HC Odense (formerly Team Odense GOG) has played their home games in the arena. The Denmark Open has been held in Arena Fyn since 2007. The sports equipment shop Stadium has sponsored the arena since June 2010. Chin Eei Hui
Chin Eei Hui (; Hakka Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: Chhìn Ngì-fui; born 18 June 1982) is a former badminton player from Malaysia who plays in both women's and mixed doubles. She worked as a coach for Malaysia's national women's doubles players of which the contract ended in 2020. Starting from 2021 until now, she partners with Li-Ning and work with independent players such as Tan Kian Meng, Lai Pei Jing, Teo Ee Yi and Ong Yew Sin. Denmark Open
The Denmark Open, or formerly known as Danish Open, is an annual badminton tournament held in Denmark and organized by Badminton Denmark. The Denmark Open was part of the BWF Super Series Premier from 2011 to 2017. BWF categorised it as one of the five BWF World Tour Super 750 events per the BWF events structure since 2018. History The tournament started in 1936 and it is now the world's second oldest badminton tournament. It was interrupted by World War II and was on hiatus from 1956 through 1964. It seeks to draw the top players from around the World. The tournament is usually played in late October each year. Locations Eleven locations have been chosen to host the tournament. Kamilla Rytter Juhl
Kamilla Rytter Juhl (born 23 November 1983) is a retired Danish badminton player. Juhl is an Olympic silver medalist, World Championship gold medalist and seven times European champion as well. Career Rytter Juhl played as a left-handed doubles specialist. Juhl enjoyed a successful mixed doubles career with Thomas Laybourn, winning the 2009 BWF World Championships and two European titles in 2006 and 2010. The pair also won the BWF World Superseries Finals in 2008, and won a total of two Superseries titles. Thomas Laybourn
Thomas Laybourn (born 30 September 1977) is a retired badminton player from Denmark. He is a World Champion, two times European Champion and was ranked as world number 1 in the mixed doubles in January 2011. Career Laybourn won the 2006 European Badminton Championships in the mixed doubles with partner Kamilla Rytter Juhl. He also competed at the 2006 IBF World Championships in mixed doubles (with Juhl), and were defeated in the quarterfinals by Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms 14–21, 17–21. Christinna Pedersen
Christinna Pedersen (born 12 May 1986) is a Danish badminton player. Career Christinna Pedersen is a right-handed doubles specialist. From 2008 onwards, Pedersen paired with Joachim Fischer Nielsen in mixed doubles. The pair gained two European mixed doubles titles, won bronze at the 2009 Hyderabad World Championships and at the 2014 World Championships, and came third at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Joachim Fischer Nielsen
Joachim Fischer Nielsen (born 23 November 1978) is a Danish retired badminton player. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he won the bronze medal in the mixed doubles with teammate Christinna Pedersen. He retired from the international tournament in the end of 2018. Jo Novita (born 19 November 1981) is an Indonesian former badminton player. She won gold medals in the women's doubles at the Southeast Asian Games in 2003, and in the team event in 2001 and 2007. She won the World Grand Prix tournament title in Thailand and Philippines Open. Novita also competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics and 2006 Asian Games. Career At the 2004 Summer Olympics, she was partnered with partner Lita Nurlita in the women's doubles. Rani Mundiasti (born 4 October 1984) is an Indonesian badminton player. Career Mundiasti won the women's doubles at the 2006 Dutch Open (badminton), Dutch Open with Endang Nursugianti. In 2008, Mundiasti was runner-up in the women's doubles with Jo Novita at the Denmark Open, Denmark Super Series, losing to the Malaysian pair of Chin Eei Hui and Wong Pei Tty in the final. Wong Pei Tty (, born 11 November 1981) is a former doubles badminton player from Malaysia. Currently, she works as an assistant coach for Malaysia women's double national team. Career Wong competed in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in women's doubles with partner Chin Eei Hui. They defeated Seiko Yamada and Shizuka Yamamoto of Japan in the first round but were defeated by Gao Ling and Huang Sui of China in the round of 16.
