The 2008 Conference Premier play-off Final, known as the 2008 Blue Square Premier play-off Final for sponsorship purposes, took place on 18 May 2008 at Wembley Stadium, London. It was contested between Cambridge United and Exeter City, with Exeter winning 1–0 and securing their return to the Football League after five years' absence. Daniel Brown (born 12 September 1980) is a former footballer who is currently manager of Billericay Town. Career Brown came through the youth ranks at Watford, before spending two years at Leyton Orient where he made only one first team appearance in a Football League Trophy match at Peterborough United on 8 December 1998. He scored 16 times from 19 youth games in 1998–99. He completed a £40,000 transfer to Barnet in 1999 where he played 97 games in all competitions, scoring eight goals. Danny Seaborne
Daniel Anthony Seaborne (born 5 March 1987) is a retired English professional footballer who played as a defender. Seaborne began his professional career at Exeter City, having risen through the club's youth system; he signed his professional contract in May 2005. Seaborne had numerous loan spells during his time at Exeter, including moves to Clyst Rovers, Tiverton Town and Dorchester Town. In January 2010, Seaborne signed a -year contract with Southampton. Steve Tully
Stephen Richard Tully (born 10 February 1980) is an English footballer, who is last player-manager at Truro City. He was born in Paignton, Devon. He began his career as a fullback with his local side Torquay United, turning professional in August 1997 and making his league debut in a 0–0 draw away to Barnet on 18 November that year. He went on to make over 160 appearances for the Gulls before being released at the end of the 2001–02 season. Paul Jones (born 28 June 1986) is an English professional footballer who plays for King's Lynn Town as a goalkeeper. James Martin Quinn (born 18 November 1959) is a Northern Irish former footballer and manager. Quinn was capped 46 times for his country and is one of Northern Ireland's top goalscorers, scoring twelve goals at senior level. Leopold Paul Osborne Fortune-West (born Leopold Paul Osborne West, 9 April 1971) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker. He played in the Football League for Gillingham, Leyton Orient, Lincoln City, Rotherham United, Brentford, Cardiff City, Doncaster Rovers, Torquay United and Shrewsbury Town. Mark Anthony Beesley (born 5 December 1980) is an English former footballer who played as a striker. He is currently manager at Warrington Town having previously been assistant manager. Michael Brian Morrison (born 3 March 1988) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Portsmouth. Stephen Leslie Reed (born 18 June 1985) is an English footballer who plays for Barnstaple Town. Career Reed was born in Barnstaple, Devon and began his career as a trainee with Yeovil Town, turning professional in September 2002. He made his Conference debut in April 2003, as a substitute in a 4–0 away win against Dagenham & Redbridge, his only appearance as Yeovil won promotion to the Football League. Lee Richard McEvilly (born 15 April 1982) aka 'The Sheriff' is a retired footballer who played as a striker. Although born in England, he won one cap for the Northern Ireland national team in 2002 and also played for Northern Ireland at under-21 and under-23 levels. McEvilly had a journeyman career, starting with non-League side Burscough, rising through their youth ranks to the senior side, where he made 49 league appearances, scoring 28 goals.
