2007–08 Wisconsin Badgers Men's Basketball Team
The 2007–08 Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball team represented University of Wisconsin–Madison. The head coach was Bo Ryan, coaching his seventh season with the Badgers. The team played its home games at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin, and is a member of the Big Ten Conference. The team finished with a final record of 31–5 which set the school record for wins in a season. Season Notes This was the second of back-to-back 30+ win season for Wisconsin. Brian Butch and Michael Flowers were seniors; Marcus Landry and Joe Krabbenhoft were juniors; Trevon Hughes and Jason Bohannon were sophomores. All contributed to the team's success. Wisconsin won the Big Ten regular season title outright, won the Big Ten tournament championship, and were only awarded a #3 seed. Bo Ryan
William Francis "Bo" Ryan Jr. (born December 20, 1947) is an American former college basketball coach and player. He was the head coach of the University of Wisconsin–Madison Badgers men's basketball team from 2001 to December 2015. Ryan served as the head men's basketball coach at the University of Wisconsin–Platteville from 1984 to 1999 and at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee from 1999 to 2001. His overall collegiate coaching record was 747–233. Ryan was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017. Playing career Ryan began playing basketball at a very young age. His father, Butch Ryan was already a legend in the area, coaching youth sports including basketball to under-privileged children in Chester, Pennsylvania. Appleton West High School
Appleton West High School (or AWHS, formerly known as Appleton Senior High School or Appleton High School) is a comprehensive public secondary school located in Appleton, Wisconsin that serves students in the ninth through twelfth grades. The school was founded in 1915 under the name Appleton Senior High School, but the current facility was constructed in 1938, and the name was changed to West High in 1967 following the construction of Appleton East High School. Marcus Landry
Marcus Landry (born November 1, 1985) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Goyang Orions of the Korean Basketball League. Landry attended Vincent High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and played his college basketball at the University of Wisconsin from 2005 to 2009. High school career Landry attended Harold S. Vincent High School where he averaged 16.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and shot 59 percent from the field as a senior, leading his team to the Division I state title game and earning him a unanimous first-team all-state selection by the Associated Press. Theodore Roosevelt High School is a public high school located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States. Joe Krabbenhoft
Joseph Krabbenhoft (born March 24, 1987) is a retired American professional basketball player and current associate head coach at the University of Wisconsin. College career Born in Spring Valley, Illinois, Krabbenhoft played college basketball for the Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball, Wisconsin Badgers from 2005 to 2009. Oshkosh West High School
Oshkosh West High School is a public high school in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and part of the Oshkosh Area School District. As of 2019, the school has 1,691 students in grades 9 through 12. Originally known as Oshkosh High School when the building was opened in 1961, its name was changed when Oshkosh North High School was built in 1972. Stillwater Area High School
Stillwater Area High School (SAHS) is a public school located in Oak Park Heights, Minnesota, United States. It serves as the primary high school for the Stillwater Area Public School District (834), the oldest public school district in Minnesota.
