2007–08 State League
The 2007–08 State League was a 50-over women's cricket competition that took place in New Zealand. It ran from December 2007 to February 2008, with 6 provincial teams taking part. Canterbury Magicians beat Central Hinds in the final to win the competition, their second State League title in two seasons. The tournament ran alongside the 2007–08 State League Twenty20. Competition format Teams played in a double round-robin in a group of six, therefore playing 10 matches overall. Matches were played using a one day format with 50 overs per side. The top two in the group advanced to the final. The group worked on a points system with positions being based on the total points. Points were awarded as follows: Win: 4 points Tie: 2 points Loss: 0 points. Abandoned/No Result: 2 points. Bonus Point: 1 point awarded for run rate in a match being 1.25x that of opponent. Nicola Browne
Nicola Jane Browne (born 14 September 1983) is a New Zealand former cricketer who played as an all-rounder, batting right-handed and bowling right-arm medium. She appeared in 2 Test matches, 125 One Day Internationals and 54 Twenty20 Internationals for New Zealand between 2002 and 2014. She played domestic cricket for Northern Districts and Australian Capital Territory. She played in the 2005 and 2009 Women's Cricket World Cups, and was player of the series in the 2010 ICC Women's World Twenty20 tournament. Aimee Watkins
Aimee Louise Watkins (; born 11 October 1982) is a New Zealand former cricketer who played as an all-rounder. Career Watkins appeared in 2 Test matches, 103 One Day Internationals and 36 Twenty20 Internationals for New Zealand between 2002 and 2011. Sara Jade McGlashan (born 28 March 1982) is a New Zealand former cricketer who played as a right-handed batter and wicket-keeper. She appeared in 2 Test matches, 134 One Day Internationals and 76 Twenty20 Internationals for New Zealand between 2002 and 2016. She played domestic cricket for Central Districts and Auckland in New Zealand, as well as having stints with Australian Capital Territory, Sydney Sixers, Sussex and Southern Vipers. Barry Frost
Barry George Frost (born 6 February 1958) is a former New Zealand cricket umpire. Life and career Frost grew up on a dairy farm near Leigh, north of Auckland. He attended Mahurangi College in Warkworth before going to Auckland to work. He played club cricket in Auckland, and after retiring from senior ranks he took up umpiring in 1995–96. Frost made his List A cricket umpiring debut in 1998 and first-class cricket debut in the following year. He umpired three Twenty20 Internationals between 2010 and 2012, and 10 women's One-day internationals between 1997 and 2015. He was the founding President of the New Zealand Professional Cricket Umpires' Association in 2011. In 2015–16 Frost became the eighth New Zealand umpire to officiate in 100 first-class matches. McLean Park
McLean Park is a sports ground in Napier, New Zealand. The two main sports played at the ground are cricket and rugby union. It is one of the largest cricket grounds in New Zealand.
