2007–08 Liga De Honra
The 2007–08 Liga de Honra season was the 18th season of the competition and the 74th season of recognised second-tier football in Portugal. The season was started on 18 August 2007. The fixtures (or schedule of games to be played) were announced on 12 July 2007. Fátima and Freamunde were promoted to the Liga Vitalis. The first goalscorer of the season was Tatu, who scored a 4th-minute goal for Desportivo das Aves against Olhanense in, one of the four games, the kick-off that ended 1–2 for Olhanense. The first red card of the season was given to Desportivo das Aves' Sérgio Nunes in the same game. Liga De Honra
The Liga Portugal 2 (), also known as Liga Portugal 2 SABSEG for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest division of the Portuguese football league system. At the end of each season, the two top-finishing teams are promoted to the top-tier Primeira Liga and the two lowest-ranked teams are relegated to the third-tier league. Starting with the 2021–22 season, relegated teams will no longer compete in the Campeonato de Portugal, which will become the fourth tier, but in a newly created third-level competition named Liga 3 (League 3). The division began in 1990 as the Segunda Divisão de Honra (Second Division of Honour), superseding the Segunda Divisão (Segunda Divisão) as the second tier of Portuguese football. Paulo Alves (footballer, Born 1969)
Paulo Lourenço Martins Alves (born 10 December 1969) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a centre-forward, currently manager of Moreirense. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 301 matches and 78 goals over 13 seasons, mainly with Gil Vicente (five years). He also represented in the competition Marítimo, Sporting CP (three apiece) União de Leiria (two) and Braga. Alves started coaching in 2005, and went on to be in charge of several clubs including Gil (in several spells). Playing career Born in Vila Real, Alves moved from local club to FC Porto's youth ranks at 17, but had no success there, moving to Gil Vicente F.C. as a member of which he helped Portugal win the 1989 FIFA World Youth Championship in Saudi Arabia – in the group stage opener against Czechoslovakia, he scored a last-minute header (his strongest asset) for the game's only goal. Barcelos, Portugal
Barcelos () is a city and a municipality in Braga District in the Minho Province, in the north of Portugal. The population in 2011 was 120,391, in an area of 378.90 km2. With 60 parishes, it is the municipality with the highest number of parishes in the country. Estádio Cidade De Barcelos
The Estádio Cidade de Barcelos is a multi-use stadium in Barcelos, Portugal. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It is the home of Primeira Liga side Gil Vicente. The stadium is able to hold 12,504 people and was built in 2004. It opened on 30 May 2004. The inaugural game saw Gil Vicente lose 2–1 to Uruguayan side Nacional de Montevideo. It replaced Estadio Adelino Ribeiro Novo which was Gil's home ground from its establishment in the 1920s until 2004. Jorge Regadas
Ernesto Jorge Taipas Regadas (born 23 January 1957) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a midfielder, and is a manager. His career was closely associated with Freamunde, as both a player and manager. He coached the club in four different decades. Playing career Born in Porto, Regadas started playing football with S.C. Freamunde (1974–77), competing in the lower leagues. From then onwards he spent the remainder of his career – with the exception of the 1984–85 season – in the second division, representing Aliados Lordelo FC, F.C. Penafiel, F.C. Estadio Marcolino de Castro is a multi-use stadium in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home of Segunda Liga club CD Feirense.
