The 2007–08 Eredivisie season was the 48th season of the Eredivisie in basketball, the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands. MyGuide Amsterdam won their 6th national title. Dutch Basketball League
The Dutch Basketball League (DBL), formerly the Eredivisie, was the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands, run by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). Since 2021, the league has been replaced by the Belgian-Dutch BNXT League. The league had a closed system: to participate, a team has to have enough money and potential. The league began in 1960 as the ''Eredivisie'' and was organized by the NBB and later the FEB. In 1977 the league introduced play-offs. As of 2019, the Dutch Basketball League consists of ten teams and plays under the FIBA rules. History 2010s Starting with the 2010–11 season, the Eredivisie changed its name to the Dutch Basketball League, shortly the DBL. The beginning of the 2010s saw Donar and ZZ Leiden emerge as top teams in the Netherlands. Donar won five titles, including three straight (2015-2018). The decade also saw clubs disappear due to financial problems, with Amsterdam in 2011, West-Brabant Giants in 2011, Magixx in 2014. ...

BC Omniworld Almere
Almere Pioneers is a Dutch amateur basketball team based in Almere. The team plays in the Promotiedivisie, the Dutch second tier league. History The club was founded in 1999 as a professional basketball club named BC Omniworld Almere and participated in the top-tier Eredivisie. The team played its home games in the Topsportcentrum Almere. The 2002–03 season was the best season in Almere's history, as the team reached the Eredivisie finals. In these finals Omniworld lost 0–4 to Amsterdam. In January 2008, the team went bankrupt and was forced to leave the Eredivisie. A year later, the club changed its name to Almere Pioneers and started playing in the second-tier amateur league Promotiedivisie. In 2013, Pioneers tried to make a comeback to the Eredivisie but failed due to a lack of budget. In 2020, Almere Sailors was established by the Pioneers board. Teddy Gipson
Sergerio Montez "Teddy" Gipson (born February 15, 1980) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Donar of the Dutch Basketball League (DBL). Professional career Gipson started his professional career in 2003 with MyGuide Amsterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie, where he played three seasons. He won the Dutch championship in his debut season. He signed with Paderborn Baskets of the German second division ProA for the 2006–07 season. After one season, he returned to Amsterdam to play another two seasons there. In these two seasons, Amsterdam won the Eredivisie both times. On June 1, 2008, Gipson scored 27 points in Game 7 of the Finals, as the 77–72 win over Den Bosch which delivered Amsterdam the title. Arvin Slagter (born 19 September 1985) is a Dutch basketball player who plays for the Netherlands men's national 3x3 team. Slagter also played for several other Dutch 5vs5 teams in his career, including Rotterdam, Bergen op Zoom, Leiden and Groningen. Erik Braal
Erik Braal (born May 16, 1971) is a Dutch professional basketball coach, currently serving as head coach for Heroes Den Bosch. He was the head coach of Donar from 2015 until 2020. Braal was the most successful coach ever for the club with seven trophies won. Career Braal was head coach of Rotterdam Basketbal for five years, from 2003 till 2008.
