2007–08 Duke Blue Devils Men's Basketball Team
The 2007–08 Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team represented Duke University. The head coach was Mike Krzyzewski, serving for his 28th year. The team played its home games in Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina. The team finished with a 28–6 (13–3) record, while making it to the second round of the NCAA tournament. Senior DeMarcus Nelson was the sole senior and captain for the 2007–2008 squad, starting at shooting guard. Junior Greg Paulus (point guard), sophomores Gerald Henderson, Jr. (guard/forward) and Lance Thomas (forward), and freshman Kyle Singler (forward) rounded out the rest of the starting lineup. Mike Krzyzewski
Michael William Krzyzewski ( ; born February 13, 1947), nicknamed "Coach K", is an American former college basketball coach. He served as the head coach at Duke University from 1980 to 2022, during which he led the Blue Devils to five national titles, 13 Final Fours, 15 ACC tournament championships, and 13 ACC regular season titles. Among men's college basketball coaches, only UCLA's John Wooden has won more NCAA championships, with a total of ten. Krzyzewski is widely regarded as one of the greatest college basketball coaches of all time. Krzyzewski has also coached the United States national team, which he has led to three gold medals at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympics. Jon Scheyer
Jonathan James Scheyer (, born August 24, 1987) is an American basketball coach and former professional player who is the head coach for the Duke Blue Devils of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Scheyer led his high school team to an Illinois state basketball championship as a high school All-American, and was the captain of the 2009–10 Duke Blue Devils that won the 2010 NCAA Basketball Championship, as a college All-American. He was a prolific high school scorer, and later an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) leader in numerous statistical categories, including free-throw percentage, three-point shots/game, and assists/ turnover ratio.
