2007–08 Championnat National
The 2007–08 Championnat National is the 15th edition of the 3rd division league and began play in August 2007 and is slated to end in May 2008. Clermont Foot, US Boulogne, and Angers SCO were promoted to Ligue 2, whereas Sporting Toulon, US Raon-l'Étape, SO Châtellerault, and AS Yzeure were relegated to the CFA. Championnat National
The Championnat de France National ( en, French National Championship), commonly referred to as simply National or Division 3, serves as the third division of the French football league system behind Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. Contested by 18 clubs, the Championnat National operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Ligue 2 and the Championnat National 2, the fourth division of French football. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 34 games each, totalling 306 games in the season. Most games are played on Fridays and Saturdays, with a few games played during weekday evenings. Play is regularly suspended the last weekend before Christmas for two weeks before returning in the second week of January. The National was founded in 1993 by the French Football Federation and served as a ''base league'' for clubs on the brink of becoming professional or falling to the amateur levels. AS Cannes
Association Sportive de Cannes Football (; commonly referred to as AS Cannes or simply Cannes) is a French association football club based in Cannes. The club was formed 1902 as a sports club and currently plays in the Championnat National 3, the fifth division of French football. Cannes plays its home matches at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin, located within the city. The team is managed by Ludovic Pollet. Despite playing football on the French Riviera, a popular and relaxing tourist destination, Cannes have had a lackluster existence. The club was formed in 1919 and currently play at the fifth level of French football. Tours plays its home matches at the Stade de la Vallée du Cher located within the city. L'Entente SSG
The Entente Sannois Saint-Gratien is a French association football team based in the suburb of Saint-Gratien in Paris. The team was founded in 1989 and play in the Championnat National 3, the country's fifth tier of competition. Recent history Recent seasons have seen the team struggle, both on and off the pitch. Following many years in the French 3rd division during which time they were denied promotion to Ligue 2 by an administrative error at the league in the mid-2000s (for which they were awarded financial compensation), they were relegated at the end of the 2008–09 season and started season 2009–10 in the Championnat de France Amateur. Sologne Olympique Romorantin is a French association football team founded in 1930 as Stade Olympique Romoratinais. It is based in Romorantin-Lanthenay, Centre-Val de Loire, France and plays in the Championnat National 2. Pau Football Club (, Bearnese ), known simply as Pau, is a French professional association football club based in Pau, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, capital of Béarn. They compete in Ligue 2, the second tier of French football. Pau FC were founded in 1920 as Bleuets de Notre-Dame de Pau, although their official founding date is in 1959, when Football Club de Pau were first formed. Bleuets de Notre-Dame joined the highest amateur league in France in 1958 after success in the French South-West League (Ligue du Sud-Ouest). Paris Football Club (), commonly referred to as Paris FC or simply PFC, is a French professional football club based in Paris, that competes in the Ligue 2, the second tier of French football. Paris FC play their home matches at the Stade Charléty, which is located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.
