2007 UCI BMX World Championships
The 2007 UCI BMX World Championships took place in Victoria, British Columbia in Canada and crowned world champions in the cycling discipline of BMX. Great Britain's Shanaze Reade built upon winning gold at the junior level last year and winning gold at the 2007 UCI Track Cycling World Championships by taking victory in the Elite Women category. Jonathan Suárez (BMX Rider)
Jonathan Fernando Suárez Freitez (born 8 December 1982, in San Félix, Bolívar) is a Venezuelan professional BMX cyclist. Dubbed by his sporting fans as ''El Mosquito'', Suarez has been highly considered a solid, all-around BMX rider in Latin America, and more importantly, one of the world's top cruisers in the sport. He won two men's cruiser medals, including his gold, at the UCI BMX World Championships, and later represented his nation Venezuela at the 2008 Summer Olympics. 2007 UCI BMX World Championships - Elite Women Cruiser
7 (seven) is the natural number following 6 and preceding 8. It is the only prime number preceding a cube. As an early prime number in the series of positive integers, the number seven has greatly symbolic associations in religion, mythology, superstition and philosophy. Magalie Pottier (born 16 March 1989 in Vallet) is a French racing cyclist who represents France in BMX. She was selected to represent France at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the women's BMX event and finished in seventh place. Pottier is coached by Fabrice Vettoretti. In 2012, she won both the French and world BMX championships, giving her a total of seven French championships, eleven European championships and seven world championships. Sarah Walker (BMX)
Sarah Louise Walker, (born 10 July 1988) is a New Zealand BMX racer. A competitor at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics, she won silver in the Women's BMX at the latter event. Missing out on selection for the 2016 Summer Olympics due to injury, she was elected onto the IOC Athletes' Commission during those Games. In 2022, she was elected as its second Vice-Chair. Early life Walker was born in Whakatane in the Bay of Plenty, and grew up in nearby Kawerau. Of Māori and European descent, she attended Kawerau South School and Trident High School in Whakatane. BMX career Walker took up BMX due to sibling rivalry; she wanted to be able to do what her younger brother could do, and do it better than him.
