The 2007 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira was the 29th edition of the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, the annual Portuguese football season-opening match contested by the winners of the previous season's top league and cup competitions (or cup runner-up in case the league- and cup-winning club is the same). The match was contested between the 2006–07 Primeira Liga winners Porto, and the 2006–07 Taça de Portugal winners, Sporting CP. The match took place on the 11 August at the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa in Leiria. Supertaça Cândido De Oliveira
The Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira (; English: Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup, or simply Portuguese Super Cup) is an annual Portuguese football match played since 1979 between the winners of the Portuguese League (Primeira Liga) and Portuguese Cup (Taça de Portugal). When a team wins both competitions (thus achieving the double (''dobradinha'')), it plays again against the Cup runners-up. The Supertaça has been organised by the Portuguese Football Federation since 1981 and is usually played in August, right before the start of the league season. The trophy is named after former player, coach and sports journalist Cândido de Oliveira. RTP1 (''RTP um'') is a Portuguese free-to-air television channel owned and operated by state-owned public broadcaster Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP). It is the company's flagship television channel, and is known for broadcasting mainstream and generalist programming, including '' Telejornal'' news bulletins, prime time drama, cinema and entertainment, and major breaking news, sports and special events. It was launched on 7 March 1957 as the first regular television service in Portugal. It was the only one until 25 December 1968, when RTP launched a second channel. Anderson Luís de Abreu Oliveira (born 13 April 1988), commonly known as Anderson, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who works as assistant manager of Adana Demirspor. He played as a midfielder and known best for his tenure with Manchester United from 2007 to 2015. Marek Čech (born 26 January 1983) is a retired Slovak professional footballer. He primarily played as an attacking left-sided full-back or wing-back. He won the Primeira Liga in each of his three seasons at Porto, in addition to titles at Slovan Bratislava and Sparta Prague earlier in his career.
