2007 Sultan Qaboos Cup
The 2007 Sultan Qaboos Cup was the 35th edition of the Sultan Qaboos Cup ( ar, كأس السلطان قابوس), the premier knockout tournament for football teams in Oman. The competition began on 15 August 2007 with the group stage and concluded on 26 November 2007. Dhofar S.C.S.C. were the defending champions, having won their seventh title in 2006. On Monday 26 November 2007, Sur SC were crowned the champions of the 2007 Sultan Qaboos Cup when they defeated Muscat Club 5–4 on penalties after the match had ended 1-1 after extra time, hence winning the title for the third time. Al Musannah Club ( ar, نادي المصنعة الرياضي; also known locally as ''Al-Siham Al-Hamra'a'', or "Red Arrow(s)", or just plainly as Al-Mussanah) is an Omani sports club based in Al-Musannah, Oman. Seeb, Oman
Al-Seeb, As Seeb or As Sib ( ar, السيب) is a coastal fishing city, located several kilometres northwest of Muscat, in northeastern Oman. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 470,878. Sur ( ar, صُوْر, Ṣūr) is the capital city of Ash Sharqiyah South Governorate, and the former capital of Ash Sharqiyah Region in northeastern Oman, on the coast of the Gulf of Oman. Al-Oruba Sports Club was a Qatari football club. The football club merged with Al-Nasour to form a new football club named Al-Esteqlal, now known as Qatar SC. It was a founding member of the Q-League and it has won five consecutive Q-League titles. History Early career Al Oruba was founded in 1959. The idea of founding the club came from Abdulaziz bin Jassim.
