The 2007 President's Cup was the 57th season of the President's Cup, a knock-out competition for Maldives' top 4 football clubs. Victory Sports Club are the defending champions, having defeated Club Valencia in last season's final on penalties. New Radiant SC
New Radiant Sports Club is a Maldivian professional football club based in Henveiru – Malé, Maldives. The club was founded on 19 August 1979 by Ahmed Waheed and his friend Ahammadhanik. New Radiant has won all domestic competitions being held in the Maldives and the club is the most successful in the Maldives in terms of trophies won and is also the most successful Maldivian club in the international arena. They were semi-finalists in the AFC Cup in 2005 and the only Maldivian club to have progressed beyond group stages in the AFC cup in multiple occasions. Ibrahim Fazeel
Ibrahim Fazeel (born 9 October 1980) is a Maldivian footballer nicknamed "Oppo", who can play both as a midfielder and as a forward currently who plays for Llangefni Town FC He started his career while he was a student in Majeedhiyaa School in 1999. Fazeel played his first international match on 2 April 2000 against Syria (AFC Asian Cup Lebanon 2000) and scored first goal in the Golden jubilee international tournament against Bangladesh. He is the only player who scored for times in the semi-finals to take Maldives to the finals. After his international duty in 1999, he signed for his first club New lagoons in 2000. Ismail Mohamed (footballer)
Ismail Mohamed (born 16 March 1980 in Thinadhoo) is a Maldivian footballer. An attacking midfielder, he currently plays at the club level for VB Sports Club. He is also part of the Maldivian National Football Team. A versatile player, Mohamed is considered one of the best left-footed players currently playing in the Maldives. Malé (, ; dv, މާލެ) is the capital and most populous city of the Maldives. With a population of 252,768 and an area of , it is also one of the most densely populated cities in the world. The city is geographically located at the southern edge of North Malé Atoll ( Kaafu Atoll). Ali Ashfaq (; born 6 September 1985) is a Maldivian professional footballer who plays as a forward and captains the Maldives national team. Nicknamed "Man of Steel" (), he is regarded as one of the best players in the South Asian region. A prolific and individualistic goalscorer, he is a free-kick specialist and a clinical finisher. His trademark style of scoring is beating the defenders and rounding off the keeper to score. Ibrahim Shiyam (born 3 February 1982) is a Maldivian footballer nicknamed ''"Dhona"'' or ''"Kuda Thoddoo"''. Club career Shiyam started his career at Victory Sports Club in 2001 and was nominated for the Haveeru footballer of the year award in his debut season. He continued playing for Victory until moving to Club Valencia in 2009, but also played a season at Island FC in the year 2004. He then moved to New Radiant for the 2010 season and after spending a couple of seasons at the club, he signed to VB Sports Club. Maziya Sports and Recreation Club is a Maldivian professional football club based in Malé. They compete in the Dhivehi Premier League, the country's top division. The club was formed in 1996 and was promoted to the first division for the first time in 2006. History The club was founded on 23 January 1996.
