2007 Penn State Nittany Lions Football Team
The 2007 Penn State Nittany Lions football team represented the Pennsylvania State University in the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by Joe Paterno and played its home games in Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pennsylvania. The 2006 season began with the Nittany Lions ranked #19 in the AP and Coaches preseason polls. The team dropped out of the rankings with losses to Notre Dame and Ohio State, but finished the season ranked #25 in the Coaches Poll and #24 in the AP Poll with a final record of 9–4. Joe Paterno
Joseph Vincent Paterno (; December 21, 1926 – January 22, 2012), sometimes referred to as JoePa, was an American college football player, athletic director, and coach. He was the head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions football, Penn State Nittany Lions from 1966 to 2011. With 409 victories, Paterno is the most victorious coach in NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, NCAA FBS history. He recorded his 2011 Penn State Nittany Lions football team#October 29 vs. Illinois, 409th victory on October 29, 2011; his career ended with his dismissal from the team on November 9, 2011, as a result of the Penn State child sex abuse scandal. Anthony Paul Scirrotto (born October 21, 1986) is a former American football safety. He was signed by the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played college football at Penn State. Scirrotto has also been a member of the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. Daryll Clark
Daryll Lawrence Clark (born February 5, 1986) is a former American football quarterback. He was signed by the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League as a free agent in 2010. He played collegiately for the Penn State Nittany Lions. From 2005 until 2009, Clark was the Nittany Lions' all-time passing touchdowns leader, as well as numerous other passing records. Clark was recruited to Penn State out of Ursuline High School in Youngstown by way of The Kiski School in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania. Stefen David Wisniewski (born March 22, 1989) is a former American football guard and center. He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Penn State. He also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers. Andrew Joseph Szczerba (born July 16, 1988) is an American football tight end who is currently a free agent. He was a member of the Penn State Nittany Lions college football team for five seasons, but only played in three due to injury. After a senior college football season in which he faced adversity with the killing of his uncle, Szczerba signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent after the 2012 NFL Draft. Derek Moye
Derek Robert Moye (born August 12, 1988) is a former American football wide receiver. After playing college football for Penn State, he was signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2012. Early years Moye attended Rochester Area High School in Rochester, Pennsylvania, where he was a four-sport standout. Stephfon P. Green (born May 28, 1989) is a former American football running back. Early years Green attended John F. Kennedy High School in the Bronx where he was coached by Alex Vega. He played tailback and safety and was named as a first team All-Conference selection. During his senior season, he appeared in only the first 5 games, but took advantage of his opportunities as he rushed for 740 yards and 10 touchdowns on just 50 carries, averaging 14.8 yards per carry.
