2007 PBA Fiesta Conference
The 2007 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Fiesta Conference or known as the 2007 Talk 'N Text PBA Fiesta Conference for sponsorship reasons, is the second conference of the 2006-07 season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Teams are allowed to pick an import with a maximum height-limit of 6-feet, 6-inches tall. The tournament began on March 4 and finished on July 20. The schedule will be shortened due to the league's commitment to the Philippine national basketball team while 12 players selected by national team head coach Chot Reyes will not play for their mother teams. Red Bull Barako is the defending champions of the tournament. Talk 'N Text, a product of Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, was the main sponsor of the tournament. They also sponsored the 2006-07 PBA Philippine Cup that ended a month before the tournament. ''The PBA on ABC'' (later renamed as ''The PBA on TV5'') was a branding for presentation of Philippine Basketball Association games by the Associated Broadcasting Company. ''The PBA on ABC'' premiered on February 22, 2004, replacing the previous broadcaster of the games, National Broadcasting Network and Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (PBA on NBN/IBC). History Due to poor performance and disappointing ratings, the PBA disbanded a broadcasting consortium between the National Broadcasting Network and the Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation after the 2003 season, and took bids on a new broadcast contract for the league. The Air21 Express were a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) that debuted in the 2011–12 season. The team debuted as the Shopinas.com Clickers during the 2011–12 PBA Philippine Cup. Barako Bull Energy
The Barako Bull Energy were a Philippine Basketball Association team that began in 2002 as the FedEx Express. From its first season until 2005, the team was dubbed as the FedEx Express before changing to Air21 Express. From the 2009 PBA Fiesta Conference until the 2009–10 PBA Philippine Cup, it became known as the Burger King Titans. However, when manager Mikee Romero decided to pull out of the team, they were reorganized and renamed the Burger King Whoppers before returning to their original name starting the 2010 PBA Fiesta Conference. Shawn Daniels (born May 14, 1979) is a former American professional basketball player. He played in the Philippine Basketball Association with Air21, Burger King, and Talk 'N Text and last played with the London Lightning basketball team in National Basketball League of Canada. High school and college career During his senior campaign, Daniels led Highland High School to a 28–5 record en route to the Valley Championship. His senior averages of 24 points and 13 rebounds had him making the all-league and all-conference selection. He was also a two-time Player of the Year. As a freshman for Bakersfield Junior College, he averaged 17.6 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. James Penny (died 1799) was a merchant, slave ship owner, and prominent opponent of the abolition of slavery in Liverpool, England. He defended the slave trade to the British Parliament. The famous Penny Lane has been associated with him although it is now widely regarded as of an unconnected origin.
