2007 Outback Bowl
The 2007 Outback Bowl Game was a college football bowl game played on January 1, 2007, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. It was part of the 2006–2007 bowl game season that concluded the 2006 NCAA Division I FBS football season. This was the 21st edition of the bowl game originally known as the Hall of Fame Bowl, later rebranded as the Outback Bowl through sponsorship from Outback Steakhouse. The game pitted the 18th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers against the unranked Penn State Nittany LionsRankings from the Coaches Poll on December 3, 2006. and was televised on ESPN. Southeastern Conference
The Southeastern Conference (SEC) is an American college athletic conference whose member institutions are located primarily in the South Central and Southeastern United States. Its fourteen members include the flagship public universities of ten states, three additional public land-grant universities, and one private research university. The conference is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. The SEC participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I in sports competitions; for football it is part of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), formerly known as Division I-A.
