Nasarawa State
Nasarawa State is a state in the North Central region of Nigeria, bordered to the east by the states of Taraba and Plateau, to the north by Kaduna State, to the south by the states of Kogi and Benue, and to the west by the Federal Capital Territory. Named for the historic Nasarawa Emirate, the state was formed from the west of Plateau State on 1 October 1996. The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), formerly known as Action Congress (AC), was a Nigerian political party formed via the merger of a faction of Alliance for Democracy, the Justice Party, the Advance Congress of Democrats, and several other minor political parties in September 2006. The party controlled Lagos. It was regarded as a natural successor to the progressive politics more closely associated with the Action Group and Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) led by Chief Obafemi Awolowo in the First and Second Republics respectively. Clever Marcus Ikisikpo is a Nigerian politician who served as a member of the Senate of Nigeria from May 2011 to 2015. He ran on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) platform representing Bayelsa East constituency, in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. Ikisikpo gained a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Port Harcourt. He was elected as a member of the Bayelsa House of Assembly, holding office from 1999 to 2003. Henry Seriake Dickson (born 28 January 1966) is a Nigerian politician and a Lawyer. He is the Senator representing Bayelsa - West in the 9th National Assembly. He was the Governor of Bayelsa State in southern Nigeria from 14 February 2012 to 14 February 2020. He was a member of the House of Representatives from 2007 until 2012. Early life and education Henry Seriake Dickson was born 28 January, 1966 in Toru-Orua Town of Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
