2007 Nashville Kats Season
The 2007 Nashville Kats season was the third season for the franchise since they resumed operations. They look to make the playoffs again after finishing 2006 with an 8–8 record. They went 7–9 and missed playoffs. This season was also the final season for the Nashville Kats. The team ceased operations again 4 months later. Pat Sperduto
Pat Sperduto (born October 14, 1966) is an American football coach and executive. He is currently the Director of College Scouting for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League. Sperduto played his entire three-year Arena career as an active player with Tampa Bay Storm, and was also the final head coach of the Nashville Kats. College career Sperduto attended the UMass Boston. While there, he was both a fullback and linebacker. He earned All-New England Conference honors from 1987-1989. Professional playing career Sperduto was an Offensive lineman / Defensive lineman for the Tampa Bay Storm from until . While playing for Tampa Bay, he won two ArenaBowls. Matt Kohn
Matt Kohn (born September 27, 1981) is an American football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at Siena Heights University. Kohn played as a quarterback for two seasons in the Arena Football League with the Nashville Kats and Kansas City Brigade. He played college football at the University of Indianapolis. He was also a member of the Ohio Valley Greyhounds of United Indoor Football. Early years Kohn played high school football at Adrian High School in Adrian, Michigan. The Maples finished 11–1 his senior year and the school's first ever 9-0 regular season record. He finished the year throwing for 2,294 yards and 29 TDs, adding 290 yards and eight TDs on the ground. Liam Ezekiel
Liam Ezekiel (born October 30, 1982) is a former American football linebacker. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Buffalo Bills in 2005. He played college football at Northeastern. He also played for the Nashville Kats and Chicago Rush. Early years Ezekiel attended Arlington High School where he played hockey and lettered in football, basketball, and track. While in highschool Ezekiel received many accolades for his football performance. Ezekiel joined the All-State Select 22 team as a senior, became league all-start (as a sophomore, junior, and senior), and was proclaimed Team MVP. Joe Minucci
Joe Minucci (born November 6, 1981) is a former American football defensive lineman who played four seasons in the Arena Football League with the Nashville Kats and Cleveland Gladiators. He played college football at University of Delaware. He was also a member of the New York Jets, Tennessee Valley Vipers, Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens. James Baron
James Baron (born June 8, 1973) is a former arena football defensive lineman in the Arena Football League. He was the Arena Football League Players Association's (AFLPA) president as well. In his career, Baron has played for the Detroit Lions, the Nashville Kats, the Chicago Bears, and the Chicago Rush. He was one of only two players to play in all 80 games with the original Nashville Kats franchise, including ten postseason contests, quarterback Andy Kelly being the other. Maurice Brown
Squadron leader Maurice Peter Brown (1919–2011) was a World War II Royal Air Force fighter pilot during the Battle of Britain. Brown joined the RAF in 1938, and promoted to the rank of flying officer in October 1940. During the Battle of Britain, Brown flew Spitfires with No. 611 Squadron RAF and No. 41 Squadron RAF. During the battle he claimed 3 and 1 shared destroyed, and one shared 'probable'. Following the Battle of Britain, Brown was a flying instructor at No. 61 OTU Operational Training Unit and Cranwell Flying Training School. He was promoted to flight lieutenant in January 1944 and subsequently to the rank of squadron leader. He was awarded the Air Force Cross in December 1945. He was released from the RAF in November 1945, retaining the rank of squadron leader.
