2007 Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship
The 2007 Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship was the 113th staging of the Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Kilkenny County Board in 1887. The championship began on 15 September 2007 and ended on 28 October 2007. Ballyhale Shamrocks were the defending champions. On 6 October 2007, Mullinavat were relegated from the championship following 1–11 to 0–13 defeat by Young Irelands. On 28 October 2007, Ballyhale Shamrocks won the championship after a 1–20 to 1–10 defeat of St. Martin's in the final. It was their 11th championship title overall and their second title in succession. Kevin Power from the Fenians club was the championship's top scorer with 1-29. Dicksboro is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Kilkenny City, Ireland. History Dicksboro GAA Club, founded in 1909. The club takes its name from Dicksboro townland, located next to Kilkenny Airport, the current ground is Palmerstown, to the west of the city. Dicksboro entered and won the junior championship of 1910. Dicksboro entered the senior championship in 1911. Dicksboro had no team from 1961 to 1969, until the club was reformed. John Maher (Kilkenny Hurler)
John Maher (born 1977) is an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-forward for the Kilkenny senior team. Maher joined the team during the 2003 championship and was a regular member of the team for just three seasons. UPMC Nowlan Park (; ) is the principal Gaelic Athletic Association stadium in Kilkenny, Ireland. Ballyhale () is a village in the south east of Ireland. Located in the south of County Kilkenny, south of the city of Kilkenny and roughly halfway to Waterford city. Dunnamaggin is a Gaelic Athletic Association club situated in the south of County Kilkenny, Ireland. The club was founded in 1897, but had to wait ninety-four years for its first senior county title, taking home the junior trophy in 1994. Callan, County Kilkenny
Callan () is a town and civil parish in County Kilkenny in Ireland. Situated 16 km (10 mi) south of Kilkenny on the N76 road to Clonmel, it is near the border with County Tipperary. It is the second largest town in the county, and had a population of 2,475 at the 2016 census. Callan is the chief town of the barony of the same name.
