2007 ISSF World Cup
The 2007 ISSF World Cup was held in the fifteen Olympic shooting events. Four qualification events were held in each event, spanning from March to July, and the best shooters qualified for the ISSF World Cup Final in October, which was held in Bangkok, Thailand for the rifle and pistol events, and in Belgrade, Serbia for the shotgun events. Notable about this season is that Europe only had one world cup in the rifle and pistol events (Munich), as Milan was left out in favour of a more worldwide spread of venues. ISSF World Cup
The ISSF World Cup was introduced by the International Shooting Sport Federation in 1986 to provide a homogeneous system for qualification to the Olympic shooting competitions. It still is carried out in the Olympic shooting events, with four competitions per year in each event. For the best shooters there is since 1988 a ''World Cup Final''. World Cup Final The World Cup Final in rifle and pistol is often, but not always, held in Munich as the ISSF shooting season ending competition. The location and date of the World Cup Final in shotgun are more flexible. Michael Anti (sport Shooter)
Michael E. "Mike" Anti (born August 2, 1964) is an American sport shooter, a former Major in the U.S. Army, and a marksman in the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program. 50 M Pistol
The 50 meter pistol, formerly and unofficially still often called Free Pistol, is one of the ISSF shooting events. It provides the purest precision shooting among the pistol events, and is one of the oldest shooting disciplines, dating back to the 19th century and only having seen marginal rule changes since 1936. Most of the changes concern distance (30m, 50m, 50 Yards), caliber (.22 .22lr .44CF), type of pistol (revolver only, revolver or pistol, any pistol), time allowed (16 hours, 6 hours, 3 hours, 2 hours, 1 hour and 15 minutes), and most recently, format of the finals (carry over scores, start from zero, number of shots fired in the finals). Jozef Gönci (born 18 March 1974, in Košice) is a Slovak sport shooter, specialising in the 50 m Rifle and 10 m Air Rifle. Gönci won independent Slovakia's first ever Olympic Medal, a bronze in Atlanta in 1996. Zhu Qinan (; born November 15, 1984, in Wenzhou, Zhejiang) is a male Chinese sport shooter. He won the gold medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics in the Men's 10 m Air Rifle event and a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the Men's 10 m Air Rifle event. Zhu currently is studying at Zhejiang University. Zhu began shooting training at Wenzhou Sports School in 1999. From there, in February 2002, he joined the Zhejiang province shooting team. Zhu joined the national shooting team on December 14, 2003. At the time of his Olympic victory, he was still a junior, and his qualification round score of 599 was an equalled junior world record. Sergei Martynov ( be, Сяргей Анатолевіч Мартынаў; new transliteration Siarhei Martynau, Łacinka Siarhiej Anatolevič Martynaŭ) (born 18 May 1968) is a Belarusian 50 m rifle shooter. He is the 2012 Olympic champion in the 50 m rifle prone event. Life and career Martynov was born in Vereya, Naro-Fominsky District, Moscow Oblast, Russian SFSR. 50 Metre Rifle Prone
50 meter rifle prone (formerly known as one of four free rifle disciplines) is an International Shooting Sport Federation event consisting of 60 shots from the prone position with a .22 Long Rifle (5.6 mm) caliber rifle. The time limit is 75 minutes for the entire match, including sighting shots, or 90 minutes if there is a need to compensate for slow scoring systems.
