2007 IIHF European Champions Cup
The 2007 IIHF European Champions Cup was the third edition of IIHF European Champions Cup. It was held in Saint Petersburg at the Ice Palace arena, from January 11 to January 14. The champions of 2006 of the six strongest hockey nations of Europe participate: Ak Bars Kazan (RUS), Färjestads BK (SWE), MsHK Žilina (SVK), HPK (FIN), HC Sparta Praha (CZE), HC Lugano (SUI). Alexei Morozov
Alexei Alekseyevich Morozov (russian: Алексей Алексе́евич Морозов; born 16 February 1977) is the president of the Kontinental Hockey League and a Russian former professional ice hockey player. He played professional hockey with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League (NHL) and in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with Ak Bars Kazan and CSKA Moscow. He is the former captain of the Russian national team, having held the post from 2007–2011, with the team winning 2 gold, 1 silver (missed tournament due to injury, Kovalchuk captained) and 1 bronze medal at the World Championships during this time. He was succeeded, as national team captain, by his Ak Bars team mate Ilya Nikulin, in 2012. Emil Karl Henry Kåberg (born February 2, 1978, in Hallsberg) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player. Kåberg is known for his physical game of playing and he was forming, together with his old linemate in Färjestad Per Ledin, a duo called ''the Bruise Brothers''. Danis Zinnurovich Zaripov (russian: Данис Зиннурович Зарипов, tt-Cyrl, Данис Зиннур улы Зарипов; born 26 March 1981) is a Russian professional ice hockey left winger currently playing for Ak Bars Kazan of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Ilya Nikulin
Ilya Vladimirovich Nikulin (russian: Илья Владимирович Никулин; born 12 March 1982) is a Russian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played for HC Dynamo Moscow and Ak Bars Kazan in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Nikulin was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the second round, 31st overall in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Later that year, Nikulin began his professional career in the Russian Superleague (RSL) with Dynamo Moscow. He played with Dynamo for five seasons. In 2005, he joined Ak Bars Kazan. His five-year contract with Kazan included allowing him to leave for the NHL. However, after negotiations in 2008 and 2009, Nikulin did not sign a contract with the Thrashers. Sergei Olegovich Zinovjev (russian: Серге́й Олегович Зиновьев; born March 4, 1980) is a Russian former professional ice hockey centre and General Manager of his original club, Metallurg Novokuznetsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Alexander Ragulin
Alexander Pavlovich "Rags" Ragulin (russian: Александр Павлович Рагулин; 5 May 1941 – 17 November 2004) was a Russian ice hockey player. He is considered one of the best defensemen in Soviet ice hockey history, winning three Olympic gold medals and ten world titles. Playing career Ragulin began training in ice hockey in 1957 with Khimik Voskresensk, where he played with his brothers Anatoli and Mikhail. Petr Ton (born 8 October 1973) is Czechs, Czech former professional ice hockey winger (ice hockey), winger. Ton played in the Czech Extraliga for HC Kladno, HC Sparta Praha and HC Kometa Brno.
