2007 GMAC Bowl
The 2007 GMAC Bowl was an American college football bowl game. It was part of the 2006 NCAA Division I FBS football season and was the ninth edition of the bowl game. It was played on January 7, 2007 and featured the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, and the Ohio Bobcats. Tory Harrison started the scoring, by rushing 43 yards for a touchdown, to give Southern Miss the first points of the game, 7–0. Damion Fletcher later scored on a e yard touchdown run giving the Eagles a 14–0 lead. With 1:13 left in the half James Denley intercepted an Ohio pass, and returned it 18 yards for another Southern Miss touchdown. The halftime score had Southern Miss up 21–0 over Ohio. In the third quarter, Fletcher scored on a 9-yard touchdown run to increase the lead to 28–0. Austen Everson threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Thomas Christy for Ohio, to make the score 28–7. Mid-American Conference
The Mid-American Conference (MAC) is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I collegiate athletic conference with a membership base in the Great Lakes region that stretches from Western New York to Illinois. The LendingTree Bowl is a postseason NCAA-sanctioned Division I FBS college football bowl game that has been played annually in Mobile, Alabama since 1999. In 2021, the game was moved from Ladd-Peebles Stadium to Hancock Whitney Stadium, on the campus of the University of South Alabama. The game currently matches teams from the Sun Belt Conference and the Mid-American Conference. Originally known as the Mobile Alabama Bowl during its first two playings, it has undergone many name changes. It was played in December 2005, and featured the UTEP Miners, and the Toledo Rockets. Scoring summary Toledo scored first on a 10-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Bruce Gradkowski to wide receiver John Allen. Reagan Schneider of UTEP kicked a 34-yard field goal at the end of the first quarter to make the lead 7-3. In the second quarter, Gradkowski threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to David Washington Jr. to make the lead 14-3 Toledo. Conference USA (C-USA or CUSA) is an intercollegiate athletic conference whose current member institutions are located within the Southern United States. The conference participates in the NCAA's Division I in all sports. C-USA's offices are located in Dallas, Texas. History C-USA was founded in 1995 by the merger of the Metro Conference and Great Midwest Conference, two Division I conferences that did not sponsor football.
