2007 Cork Senior Football Championship
The 2007 Cork Senior Football Championship was the 119th staging of the Cork Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the opening fixtures took place on 10 December 2006. The championship began on 7 April 2007 and ended on 28 October 2007. Nemo Rangers entered the championship as the defending champions. On 28 October 2007, Nemo Rangers won the championship following a 0-12 to 0-09 defeat of Ilen Rovers in the final. This was their 16th championship title overall and their third title in succession. Nemo's James Masters was the championship's top scorer with 2-29. ''The Echo'', formerly known as the ''Evening Echo'', is an Irish morning newspaper based in Cork. It is distributed throughout the province of Munster, although it is primarily read in its base city of Cork. The newspaper was founded as a broadsheet in 1892, and has been published in tabloid format since 1991. Clonakilty
Clonakilty (; ), sometimes shortened to Clon, is a town in County Cork, Ireland. The town is located at the head of the tidal Clonakilty Bay. The rural hinterland is used mainly for dairy farming. The town's population as of 2016 was 4,592. Cork ( , from , meaning 'marsh') is the second largest city in Ireland and third largest city by population on the island of Ireland. Páirc Uí Rinn
Páirc Uí Rinn (), also known as Páirc Chríostóir Uí Rinn, is a Gaelic Athletic Association stadium located between Ballinlough and Ballintemple in Cork. It was previously known as Flower Lodge and was used as an association football stadium. During the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, Flower Lodge served as the home ground of three League of Ireland clubs – Cork Hibernians, Albert Rovers and Cork City. Inchigeela
Inchigeelagh () is a small village, townland and civil parish in County Cork, Ireland. The village is just outside a Gaeltacht area. Inchigeelagh is part of the Dáil constituency of Cork North-West. The River Lee passes through the village. The nearby 'pater noster' string of lakes collectively known as Lough Allua were once popular with anglers and are now fished for large pike, perch and some brown trout. The decline of fishing has coincided with the loss of salmon on the River Lee following the erection of the Carrigadrohid and Inniscarra hydroelectric dams down-river between 1952 and 1957. This led to the subsequent decline in the fortunes of the village as a location for angling. Naomh Abán GAA
Naomh Abán GAA is a Gaelic football club based in the Gaeltacht village of Baile Bhuirne, County Cork, Ireland. It participates in games of the Muskerry division of the Cork GAA. The club has experienced senior grade football within Cork county for many years. It now participates in the Premier Intermediate grade. The club has contributed a number of players to the Cork Gaelic football team. Castlehaven Gaelic Football Club is a Cork GAA club in the parish of Castlehaven near the town of Skibbereen, County Cork, Ireland. The club also draws players from the villages of Union Hall, Castletownshend and Tragumna. The club participates in competitions run by Cork GAA and by the Carbery divisional board. Ballincollig GAA is a Gaelic football and hurling club based in the town of Ballincollig, County Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated with the Cork GAA board and plays in the Muskerry divisional competitions. In 2009, the club will participate in the Cork Senior Football Championship and the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship.
