The 2007 China Masters Super Series was a badminton tournament which took place at Sichuan Provincial Gymnasium in Chengdu, China, from 10 to 15 July 2007 and had a total purse of $250,000. Tournament The 2007 China Masters Super Series was the seventh tournament of the 2007 BWF Super Series and also part of the China Masters championships, which had been held since 2005. Sichuan Provincial Gymnasium
Sichuan (; zh, c=, labels=no, ; zh, p=Sìchuān; alternatively romanized as Szechuan or Szechwan; formerly also referred to as "West China" or "Western China" by Protestant missions) is a province in Southwest China occupying most of the Sichuan Basin and the easternmost part of the Tibetan Plateau between the Jinsha River on the west, the Daba Mountains in the north and the Yungui Plateau to the south. Lee Chong Wei
Datuk Lee Chong Wei (; born 21 October 1982) is a Malaysian former badminton player. As a singles player, Lee was ranked first worldwide for 349 weeks, including a 199-week streak from 21 August 2008 to 14 June 2012. He is the fifth Malaysian player after Foo Kok Keong, Rashid Sidek, Roslin Hashim and Wong Choong Hann to achieve such a ranking (since official rankings were first kept in the 1980s), and is the only Malaysian shuttler who has held the number one ranking for more than a year. Lee is a triple silver medalist at the Olympic Games, and the sixth Malaysian to win an Olympic medal. John Moody (badminton)
John David Moody (born 21 February 1983) is a New Zealand badminton player. In 2002 and 2004 he won the Fiji International, in 2005 the Ballarat Eureka International and the Waikato International, and in 2006 the North Harbour International and the Waikato International. He represented New Zealand at the Badminton at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, 2006 Commonwealth Games and Badminton at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2008 Summer Olympics. Dicky Palyama
Dicky Palyama (born March 26, 1978 in Gouda) is a male badminton player from the Netherlands. Early career After winning four junior titles in the Netherlands between 1994 and 1996, Dicky took the European junior U19 title in 1997. His first success as a professional came in 1998, when he took the Welsh Open International title. In 2000 he took his first National Dutch Championship; he has since won a record nine individual singles Dutch Championship titles. Eric Pang
Eric Pang (born 30 January 1982) is a Dutch badminton player, who became European Junior Champion in 2001. He won the National Dutch Championships seven times between 2009 and 2015. Career As a part of the BC Amersfoort team Pang reached the final of the European Cup 2007 held in Amersfoort. Together with Lotte Bruil-Jonathans, Yao Jie, Larisa Griga, Dicky Palyama and Chris Bruil. The final was lost against the team of NL Primorje. In the semi finals they were too strong for CB Rinconada. Eric Pang won the Norwegian International in 2005 and the Spanish Open in 2010. Ronald Susilo
Ronald Susilo (; born 6 June 1979) is a Singaporean former badminton player. Susilo was ranked sixth, his highest ranking, in 2004. Susilo started his badminton career at age 19 and had represented Singapore since 2002. He had represented Singapore in two Olympics, the 2004 and the 2008 Summer Olympics and was the flag-bearer for Singapore at the 2004 Summer Olympics opening ceremony. He retired in 2010 before coming out of retirement in 2014 to participate in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games. Wong Choong Hann
Wong Choong Hann (; born 17 February 1977) is a former badminton player from Malaysia. He is the first Malaysian to win a medal in the men's singles event at the BWF World Championships. Currently he is the coaching director for the Malaysia national badminton team. Career Wong Choong Hann's career began with the 1996 Malaysia Open. The first tournament he won was the 1997 Dutch Open. He represented Malaysia in 2002, where Malaysia emerged runners-up to Indonesia in the Thomas Cup championships. Przemysław Wacha (; born 31 January 1981) is a Polish badminton player. Career Wacha played badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in men's singles, losing in the first round to Wong Choong Hann of Malaysia. He won the bronze medal at the 2008 European Badminton Championships. Wacha also played badminton at the 2008 Summer Olympics in men's singles, losing in the round of 16 to Bao Chunlai of China. Kenneth Jonassen (born 3 July 1974) is a badminton player from Denmark, who won Danish national and international titles during the first decade of the 21st century. The big, hard fighting Dane was often ranked among the top few singles players of that era, but was rather overshadowed by his fellow countryman Peter Gade.
