2007 All-Australian Team
The 2007 All-Australian team represents the best performing Australian Football League (AFL) players during the 2007 season. The selection panel provided the 40 leading players of the year in their playing positions at the conclusion of the home and away season before announcing the final 22 at a later date during the All-Australian Presentation Dinner. Of the 40 leading players for that year, the leading 16 midfielders/ruckmen were all respectively nominated, as were the leading twelve defenders and forwards. Six of each were then to be chosen in the final team, with the four interchange positions occupied by players remaining from the group of 40. The team is honorary and does not play any games. Nine Geelong players made it into the 2007 squad and all were picked for the team. All-Australian Team
The All-Australian team is an all-star team of Australian rules football in Australia, Australian rules footballers, selected by a panel at the end of each season. It represents a complete team, including an interchange bench, of the best-performed players during the season, led by that season's premiership coach. Despite its nature, the All-Australian team is only ceremonial. Though the AFL played an All-Star match in 2020, it was the first in 12 years, and the difference in skill level between the All-Australian team and the nearest international competitor is currently too large for any contest to be competitive. Hawthorn Football Club
The Hawthorn Football Club, nicknamed the Hawks, is a professional Australian rules football club based in Mulgrave, Victoria, that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club was founded in 1902 in the inner-east suburb of Hawthorn, making it the youngest Victorian-based team in the AFL. Darren Milburn
Darren Milburn (born 15 April 1977) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). A defender, tall and weighing , Milburn was renowned for his competitiveness, decision-making and for both his physical and mental strength. Milburn was selected in the 2007 All-Australian Team, and was part of Geelong's AFL premiership-winning team in the same year, a feat which has seen him become the first premiership player to play 250 matches for Geelong. Nick Malceski
Nick Malceski (born 15 August 1984) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Sydney Swans and Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). A running defender, he was part of the Sydney line-up that won the 2012 AFL Grand Final, and in total played 176 games for the club between 2005 and 2014. He was named in the 2014 All-Australian team, but at the end of that season joined the Gold Coast, where he played two seasons (consisting of 34 games) before retiring at the end of the 2016 season. The Adelaide Crows (officially the Adelaide Football Club) are a professional Australian rules football team based in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1990. Andrew McLeod
Andrew Luke McLeod (born 4 August 1976) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is the games record holder for Adelaide, having played 340 games. McLeod is considered by many as the greatest player to have played for the Adelaide Football Club. Roger Hayden (born 9 December 1980) is a former Australian rules footballer. He played as a back pocket for the Fremantle Football Club after beginning his senior football career with South Fremantle Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). Fremantle career Hayden was drafted by Fremantle in the 2000 Rookie Draft. He spent the entire 2001 season on the rookie list and played for South Fremantle, mainly as a midfielder. The West Coast Eagles are a professional Australian rules football club based in Perth, Western Australia. The club was founded in 1986 as one of two expansion teams in the Australian Football League (AFL), then known as the Victorian Football League. Dustin Fletcher (born 7 May 1975) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played his entire 23-season career for the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
