Peter Ebdon
Peter David Ebdon (born 27 August 1970) is an English former snooker player. The winner of the 2002 World Snooker Championship, Ebdon won nine world ranking events, placing twelfth on the all-time list of ranking tournament winners. In addition to his world snooker championship, Ebdon won a second Triple Crown event at the 2006 UK Championship. After winning the 1990 IBSF World Under-21 Snooker Championship, Ebdon turned professional, making his debut at the World Snooker Championship the following year. He won his first professional event at the 1993 Grand Prix and reached the elite top 16 players in the world rankings in 1995. ACBS Asian Under-21 Snooker Championship
The ACBS Asian Under-21 Snooker Championship is the premier non-professional junior snooker tournament in Asia. The event series is sanctioned by the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports and started from 1993. In most of the seasons, the winner of the tournament qualifies for the next season of the Professional Snooker Tour. Chris Melling (pool Player)
Christopher Melling (born 27 January 1979) is an English professional pool and snooker player and former world number 1 at World Rules British Eight-Ball. He won the WEPF World Eightball Championship twice, in 2001 and 2003. He was ranked #1 in 2003 by the World Eightball Pool Federation. Melling has also twice won the International Pool Masters (2001 and 2002) and the European Professional title (2002). He was the first player to win two International Tour events back to back. His entrance by walk-on music is from the song “Wannabe” by Spice Girls. Melling is also the only cue sports player to hold professional status in English 8 ball, American pool and snooker. Andrew Higginson
Andrew Higginson (born 13 December 1977) is an English former professional snooker player from Widnes, Cheshire. He is best known for being the surprise finalist of the 2007 Welsh Open. Career Early years After some success in amateur tournaments, Higginson turned professional for the 2000/2001 season after finishing third on the Challenge Tour. He remained there for five seasons before dropping off, after encountering limited success. Liu Song (snooker Player)
Liu Song (; born 8 December 1983) is a Chinese former professional snooker player from Tianjin. Life and career In 2003, Liu reached the final of the IBSF Under 21 World Championship, in Taupo, New Zealand. Liu faced Neil Robertson, with the score being 11–5 in the Australian's favour. Liu was the first Chinese player to qualify for the final stages of a ranking tournament, the 2004 Welsh Open. To get to the tournament, Liu played four qualifying , the fourth against Fergal O'Brien. Liu was eventually knocked out of the tournament by Marco Fu. International Open Series
The International Open Series (often referred to as Pontins International Open Series or PIOS for sponsorship purposes), was a series of snooker tournaments that ran from the 2001/02 season until the 2009/10 season. It was originally called the Open Tour but was renamed in 2005/2006. History The tour was established to provide players not on the WPBSA Main Tour or Challenge Tour with professional competition, and the best performers were promoted to the ''Challenge Tour''. David Morris (snooker Player)
David Morris (born 27 November 1988 in Kilkenny) is an Irish snooker player. In the 2015-2016 he was ranked as Ireland's number 3 player, after Fergal O'Brien and Ken Doherty. Career Early career Aged 16, he reached the quarter finals of the U21 World Snooker Championships. He has been Irish champion at every level, winning the overall National championship every year from 2004 to 2006 (becoming the youngest ever winner in 2004). Robert Stephen
Robert Stephen (born 27 June 1984) is a Scottish former professional snooker player. He first qualified for the main tour for the 2006–07 season having topped the Scottish rankings the year before. During the 2008–09 season, he reached the last 64 at the Shanghai Masters and the Bahrain Championship. Career Stephen was born in Glasgow and first played competitive snooker in 2003, entering three Challenge Tour events and qualifying for the World Championship; he progressed to the last 32 at one tournament, where Chris Norbury beat him 5–0, but lost his opening World Championship match 3–5 to Troy Shaw. Peter Lines
Peter Lines (born 11 December 1969) is an English professional snooker player. He has reached the semi-finals of one ranking tournament, the 2018 Paul Hunter Classic. He reached his highest ranking, 42nd in the world, in 1999. He is the father of fellow professional snooker player Oliver Lines. In January 2022, Lines won the 2022 UK Seniors Championship, part of the World Seniors Tour. In the same month, he was disciplined by the WPBSA for breaching conduct rules and bringing the game into disrepute.
