2006–07 Primera División A Season
Primera División A ''(Méxican First A Division)'' is a Mexican football tournament. This season was composed of Apertura 2006 and Clausura 2007. Puebla was the winner of the promotion to First Division after winning Dorados de Sinaloa in the promotion playoff. Changes for the 2006–07 season *Dorados de Sinaloa was relegated from Primera División. * The Mexican Football Federation forced that each of the 18 teams participating in the Primera División had a reserve team in Primera 'A'. For this reason, new expansion franchises were created: Pumas Morelos, Tecos 'A', Monarcas Morelia 'A', Santos Laguna 'A' and Gallos de Caliente. Ascenso MX
Ascenso MX was the second tier of professional football in Mexico of the Mexican football league system. The champion of the competition was promoted to Liga MX (top-flight tier). The bottom team was relegated to Liga Premier (the third tier). It was sponsored by BBVA through its Mexican subsidiary BBVA, and was officially known as Ascenso BBVA MX. Formerly known as Primera División A (First Division A) the league rebranded in 2009 its name and competition format to Liga de Ascenso. It was rebranded in 2012 as Ascenso MX. The major changes: clubs do not need a FMF certification to be promoted and that the competition no longer used group stages. Ascenso MX was replaced by Liga de Expansión MX on April 17, 2020. Lagartos De Tabasco
Lagartos de Tabasco were a Mexican football team. The club was founded in 2002 in Villahermosa, Tabasco, México and it played a few tournaments in Primera A till 2006 when the club left the league due to financial problems. History The club's first match in the Primera A was against Nacional de Tijuana on 12 January 2003, the game was a 0–0 draw. The club was relegated to Group B along with clubs Zacatepec, Tapatío, and Jaguares de Tapachula. The club finished third in their division during their first tournament so qualified to the playoffs but fail to reach the final losing 5–2 to the eventual tournament champions Club Leon. In 2006 the club played its last tournament match against Puebla FC on 22 April 2006 beating them 2–0. Ixtapan De La Sal
Ixtapan de la Sal is a town and municipality located in the State of Mexico, Mexico. It is 60 km south of Toluca, the state's capital, and 120 km south of Mexico City by the Federal Road 55. The word ''Ixtapan'' comes from Nahuatl. There are two theories as to the origin of the name. The first one states that it is composed of , which means 'salt', and , which means 'over' or 'in'. The SM-65F Atlas, or Atlas-F, was the final operational variant of the Atlas missile, only differing from the Atlas E in the launch facility and guidance package used. Celaya (; ) is a city and its surrounding municipality in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, located in the southeast quadrant of the state.
