2006–07 Plymouth Argyle F.C. Season
The 2007–08 football season was Plymouth Argyle Football Club's 38th season in the Football League Championship, the second division of English football, and their 102nd as a professional club. Summary of the 2006–07 season After only eight months as manager, during which he was credited with saving Argyle from relegation, Tony Pulis returned to Stoke in mid-June. Two weeks later, former QPR manager Ian Holloway, was appointed manager. Holloway quickly added the team's only striker, Nick Chadwick, with veteran Barry Hayles from Millwall and 20-year-old Sylvan Ebanks-Blake from Man United who became the leading scorers of the season with 14 and 10 goals respectively. The addition of Dutch defender Marcel Seip, ultimately displaced Aljofree in central defence. In goal, Luke McCormick got first team action with Romain Larrieu out sick and kept his place. Plymouth Argyle F
Plymouth () is a port city and unitary authority in South West England. It is located on the south coast of Devon, approximately south-west of Exeter and south-west of London. It is bordered by Cornwall to the west and south-west. Plymouth's early history extends to the Bronze Age when a first settlement emerged at Mount Batten. Marcel Seip (; born 5 April 1982) is a Dutch former professional footballer who plays as a centre back for ACV in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. He previously played for Veendam, Heerenveen, Plymouth Argyle, Blackpool, Sheffield United, Charlton Athletic, Bradford City, VVV Venlo, Central Coast Mariners and FC Emmen. Scott Sinclair
Scott Andrew Sinclair (born 25 March 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for EFL League One club Bristol Rovers. He represented England at youth level, from the under-17s to the under-21s, and also played for Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Krisztián Timár
Krisztián Tímár (born 4 October 1979) is a Hungarian professional football coach and a former player who played as a centre back. He is the manager of Győr. He played in Nemzeti Bajnokság I for Videoton, Nyíregyháza Spartacus, Ferencváros and Siófok, and the Football League for Plymouth Argyle and Oldham Athletic. Tímár was capped four times by the Hungary national team. Péter Halmosi (; born 25 September 1979) is a Hungarian retired professional footballer who played as a midfielder. At international level, he won 35 caps for his country. His previous clubs include Szombathelyi Haladás, Grazer AK, Debrecen, Plymouth Argyle and Hull City. Kevin Andrew Gallen (born 21 September 1975) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker. He notably played in the Premier League for Queens Park Rangers over several seasons, and would have two spells with the Loftus Road club. Paul Wotton
Paul Anthony Wotton (born 17 August 1977) is an English former professional footballer who is the manager of Truro City. Having begun his career with his home-town side, Wotton went on to become the club's most successful captain as they won two Football League titles in three seasons. By the time he left Plymouth in 2008, Wotton had broken into the top ten of the club's all-time appearance list – playing in more than 400 matches – and won their Player of the Year award twice. A year later, he was inducted into the club's Hall of Fame. Anthony Charles Capaldi (born 12 August 1981) is a former footballer who made nearly 250 appearances in the Football League and is a former Northern Ireland international. Born in Porsgrunn, Norway, Capaldi won 22 caps for Northern Ireland at full international level, 21 of which were as a Plymouth Argyle player, a total that made him the club's most-capped international. Gary Dean Sawyer (born 5 July 1985) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. He started his career at Plymouth Argyle, and in-between spells at Home Park has also played for Leyton Orient, Weymouth, Exeter City, Bristol City, Bristol Rovers before ending his career back at Plymouth Argyle.
