2006 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational
The 2006 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational was a golf tournament that was contested from August 24–27, 2006 over the South Course at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. It was the eighth WGC-Bridgestone Invitational tournament, and the second of four World Golf Championships events held in 2006. World number 1 Tiger Woods won the tournament to retain the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and claim his 11th World Golf Championships title, which was his fifth Invitational title. Akron () is the fifth-largest city in the U.S. state of Ohio and is the county seat of Summit County, Ohio, Summit County. Robert Gamez
Robert Anthony Gamez (born July 21, 1968) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour. Gamez was born in Las Vegas, and is of Mexican descent. He attended the University of Arizona where he was a member of the golf team. He played on the 1989 Walker Cup Team and dropped out of university to turn professional later that same year. Gamez has had what can be described as a hot and cold career as a professional golfer. David Chad Campbell (born May 31, 1974) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour, where he has won four times. Olin Browne
Olin Douglas Browne (born May 22, 1959) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and now plays on the PGA Tour Champions. Browne was born in Washington, D.C.
