2006 NCAA Skiing Championships
The 2006 NCAA Skiing Championships were contested at the Steamboat Ski Resort on Mount Werner near Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Steamboat Springs, Colorado as part of the 53rd annual NCAA-sanctioned ski tournament to determine the individual and team national champions of men's and women's collegiate slalom skiing, slalom and cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skiing in the United States. Hosts Colorado Buffaloes ski team, Colorado, coached by Richard Rokos, won the team championship, the Buffaloes' fifth co-ed title and sixteenth overall. College Skiing
The United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) is the sports federation for college sports, collegiate skiing and snowboarding in the United States. With over 180 member colleges, the USCSA fields some 5,000 men and women, alpine, Nordic, freeski and snowboard athletes in over 200 competitive events annually.
