Bernard Laporte
Bernard Laporte (born 1 July 1964) is a rugby player, coach and former French Secretary of State for Sport. From 1999 to 2007, Laporte was the head coach of the France national team. In 2011, he became the head coach at Toulon, after Philippe Saint-André became the new national team coach. He was previously the coach at Stade Français. He was the first fully professional head coach of France. On 3 December 2016, Bernard Laporte was elected president of the French Rugby Federation. Playing career Laporte played rugby union at scrum-half and won the French Under-21 championship with UA Gaillac in 1983 and then again in 1984, in which he was captain. Seven years later he captained Begles-Bordeaux to the French championship. Clément Poitrenaud (born 20 May 1982 in Castres, Tarn) is a former French rugby union footballer. His usual position is at fullback but he also plays at centre. Iulian Dumitraş (born 22 June 1982 in Suceava) is a Romanian former rugby union fly-half or fullback. He is the son of former Romania international Hari Dumitraş. Valentin Nicolae Calafeteanu (born 25 January 1985) is a Romanian rugby union player. His position on the field is scrum-half. He has played for Dinamo Bucarest (2004–09), RCM UVT Timişoara (2010–17) and CSM Bucharest (2017–19). Playing for Dinamo, Calafeteanu became two times National Champion (2007, 2008) and won twice the National Cup. Valentin Niculae Ursache (born 12 August 1985 in Târgu Neamt) is a Romanian former rugby union player. Ursache played in Romania for Contor Zenner Arad, Steaua Bucharest and CSM Baia Mare. He also played in France for Pays d'Aix RC and Oyonnax, from where he retired in June 2022. Petru Vladimir Bălan (born 12 July 1976, in Suceava) is a Romanian retired rugby union footballer who played as a prop. Before moving to play rugby in France he played for Dinamo Bucharest in Romania, including playing for them in the 1998–99 European Challenge Cup. He played for FC Grenoble in the 2002–04 Challenge Cup and European Shield competitions. He moved to Biarritz for the 2003–04 season.
