HJK Helsinki
Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi (), commonly known as HJK Helsinki, or simply as HJK, is a professional football club based in Helsinki, Finland. The club competes in the Finnish Veikkausliiga. Founded in 1907, the club has spent most of its history in the top tier of Finnish football. The club's home ground is the 10,770-seat Bolt Arena, where they have played since 2000. Generally considered as Finland's biggest club, HJK is the most successful Finnish club in terms of championship titles with 32. The club has also won 14 Finnish Cups and 5 Finnish League Cups. The Bolt Arena (named Telia 5G -areena until January 2020, named Sonera Stadium until April 2017, and Finnair Stadium until August 2010; also known as ''Töölön jalkapallostadion'', "Töölö football stadium") is a football stadium in Helsinki, Finland. It is named after the labour hire company Bolt.Works. History The stadium was inaugurated in 2000. It has a capacity of 10,770 spectators. Originally the ground had a natural grass pitch, but it was soon replaced with an artificial one because the grass couldn't get enough sun light. Since then the stadium has seen numerous artificial playing surfaces that have been gradually replaced. The most recent artificial pitch was installed in April 2015. The ground is located next to the Helsinki Olympic Stadium. Before the current stadium was constructed, it was known as the Helsinki Football Ground and hosted some of the football preliminaries for the 1952 Summer Olympics. Tuomas Aho
Tuomas Aho (born 27 May 1981) is a Finnish former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. He made more than 300 appearances in the Veikkausliiga, and had a short stint abroad with Danish Superliga club AGF. Career Early years Aho played youth football for KeuPa, Kumu JT, FC Kouvola and FC Kuusankoski. He made his senior debut for the latter in the 1998 season. He made his debut in the Veikkausliiga on 27 June 1999 for MyPa in a match against FC Jazz. He won the Finnish Cup with the club in 2004. AGF On 23 December 2004, Aho signed with Danish Superliga club AGF after his contract with MyPa had expired. Antti Pohja (born 11 January 1977, Lahti) is a retired Finnish footballer. His position is forward. Pohja represents Tampere United playing in Finnish premier league Veikkausliiga. The team captain of an association football team, sometimes known as the skipper, is a team member chosen to be the on-pitch leader of the team; they are often one of the older or more experienced members of the squad, or a player that can heavily influence a game or has good leadership qualities. Timo Tapio Marjamaa (born 27 June 1976) is a Finnish sports executive and a former professional footballer who played as a defender. Marjamaa is currently the chief executive officer of Finnish top-tier league Veikkausliiga, having started in the position in November 2010.
