The 2006 Cincinnati Bengals season was the franchise's 37th season in the National Football League, the 39th overall, and the fourth under head coach Marvin Lewis. It began with the team trying to improve on their 11–5 record in 2005, defending their AFC North Division Championship title, and progress further through the playoffs than they made in the 2005 season having lost to Pittsburgh in the 1st round after losing star quarterback Carson Palmer to injury on the second play of the game. However, the team failed to improve on their 11–5 record to finish at 8–8 and missing the playoffs just the year after they made it to the playoffs. AFC North
The American Football Conference – Northern Division or AFC North is one of the four divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). Tony Bua (born February 11, 1980) is a former American football linebacker. His hometown is Liberty, Texas. College career Bua had a distinguished college career as a linebacker/safety while playing at the University of Arkansas, and entered the draft with Mark Bloom as his agent. Although Bua was drafted as a linebacker, he mainly was used to play on special teams, primarily during punting situations. Bennie Brazell (born June 2, 1982) is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Louisiana State University. In 2011, Brazell became the LSU Tigers track and field sprints and hurdles assistant coach.
