Upstairs Weert
Basketball Stars Weert, commonly known as BSW, was a professional basketball team based in Weert, Netherlands. The club was founded in 1968 and played in the Dutch Basketball League. Home games of the team are played in the Sporthal Boshoven. The club was a regular participant in the Dutch top division, as the side from Weert appeared in the Eredivisie (later DBL) for 34 straight seasons. The highlight of the club was the national championship in the 1993–94 season. The club finished three times as runner-up in the DBL: in 1988, 1993 and 2001. As well, BSW made European appearances with the most notable being the one in the FIBA European Cup Winners' Cup, the highest European level, in 1994–95. In 2017 the club was dissolved after financial problems and the inability to gain enough money to participate. However, the club was replaced by BAL from Weert. Donar, also known as Donar Groningen, is a professional basketball club based in Groningen, Netherlands. The club competes in the BNXT League and its home arena is MartiniPlaza, which has a seating capacity of 4,350 people. Donar is one of the traditional first division clubs along with Den Bosch, as it entered the league years ago. Travis Reed (born August 6, 1979) is an American retired professional basketball player. Reed played college basketball for UCLA and Long Beach State. He played professionally in the Netherlands, Estonia, Romania, Australia and Germany. Professional career He is left-handed and was known as a very effective player around the basket. Amsterdam Basketball was a Dutch professional basketball club from the city of Amsterdam, established in 1995 and dissolved in 2011. The club won the Dutch championship seven times and the Dutch Cup five times. Travis Young (born June 4, 1979) is an American former basketball player. Standing at 1.85 m, he was a point guard. During the 2000s, Young played in the Dutch Eredivisie for Landstede (2001–02), Omniworld Almere (2002–03), Donar (2003 to 2006) and EiffelTowers Den Bosch (2006 to 2009). Young was also named to the league's All-Star Team five times. High school and college career Born in Columbus, Ohio, Young played high school basketball for Zanesville High School, before playing four season in college for Marshall. Landstede Hammers is a Dutch basketball club based in Zwolle. The club plays in the BNXT League, the Dutch top tier division. The club was founded as Cees Lubbers The Hammers in 1995. Darnell Hinson (born May 28, 1980) is an American retired professional basketball player. Standing at , Hinson played as point guard. He played four years in college with Northeastern State University, before starting an extensive professional career in Europe and South America. Erik Braal
Erik Braal (born May 16, 1971) is a Dutch professional basketball coach, currently serving as head coach for Heroes Den Bosch. He was the head coach of Donar from 2015 until 2020. Braal was the most successful coach ever for the club with seven trophies won. Career Braal was head coach of Rotterdam Basketbal for five years, from 2003 till 2008.
