The 2005–06 Cupa României was the 68th season of the annual Romanian football knockout tournament. The winners of the competition qualified for the first qualifying round of the 2006–07 UEFA Cup. Fotbal Club Politehnica Timișoara (), commonly known as Politehnica Timișoara or simply Poli Timișoara, was a Romanian football club from Timișoara, Timiș County, established in 1921 and dissolved in 2012. During its existence, the team won two Cupa României trophies and was twice runner-up in the Liga I. It amassed 49 seasons in the latter competition. Fotbal Club Bihor Oradea (), commonly known as Bihor Oradea or simply as FC Bihor, was a Romanian professional football club based in Oradea, Bihor County. It was founded under the name of ''Crișul Oradea'' in April 1958 and from 1963 it continued the football tradition of the city, following the dissolution of Club Atletic Oradea. Dunărea Galați was a Romanian professional football club from Galați, Galați county, south-east Romania, founded in 1970. The club was dissolved in 2014. History The club was founded in 1970, took the place of Oțelul Galați in Divizia B and has played for 5 seasons in the Liga I.
