2005 Women's South American Volleyball Championship
The 2005 Women's South American Volleyball Championship was the 26th edition of the Women's South American Volleyball Championship, organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV). It was held in La Paz, Bolivia from September 17 to 23, 2005. Teams Competition System The competition system for the 2005 Women's South American Championship was a single Round-Robin system. Each team plays once against each of the 6 remaining teams with one team having a break each date. Points are accumulated during the whole tournament, and the final ranking is determined by the total points gained. The matches were divided into 2 rounds. Round 1: Top 3 teams (Brazil, Peru and Argentina according to FIVB Ranking) will play against the 4 remaining teams. La Paz

Women's South American Volleyball Championships

Fabiana De Oliveira
Fabiana "Fabi" Alvim de Oliveira (born 7 March 1980 in Rio de Janeiro) is a retired volleyball player from Brazil who won the gold medal at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Career Fabiana started playing volleyball at the age of 13, specializing in defense - and later the libero position - due to her short height. De Oliveira was first called up to the Brazil women's national volleyball team in 2002, under coach Marco Aurélio Motta. She lost her place under his replacement, José Roberto Guimarães, and only returned to being a mainstay of the team in 2005. At the 2007 Pan American Games, held in Rio de Janeiro, de Oliveira and the Brazilian team won the silver medal. One year later, de Oliveira won the gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and was chosen as the best libero of the tournament. Milagros Moy
Milagros Alicia Moy Alvarado (born October 17, 1975) is a volleyball player from Peru who twice represented her native country at the Summer Olympics: 1996 and 2000. She played as a wing spiker. Career Moy won with the Peruvian club Cristal Bancoper the silver medal in the 1995 South American Club Championship played in Medellin, Colombia. Moy played for the German team "Rote Raben Vilsbiburg" for the 2008/09 season. For the 2009-10 season, Moy played with Valeriano Alles Menorca Volei in the Spanish Superliga Femenina de Voleibol. Moy returned to play in the Peruvian League, signing with the Universidad César Vallejo club. She won the league championship with the club in that season and was awarded Most Valuable Player. She then played the South American Club Championship and her club lost to Brazilian Unilever, winning the silver medal and the Best Server individual award. Carol Gattaz
Caroline de Oliveira Saad Gattaz, better known as Carol Gattaz (born July 27, 1981), is a volleyball player from Brazil. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in the Women's tournament, winning a silver medal. Gattaz won the World Grand Prix three times in a row. Early career Gattaz was born in São José do Rio Preto. Before playing volleyball, as a teenager, Gattaz played futsal, defending her city's club América-SP, where she played as a striker. Still in high school, she started playing volleyball. Career Gattaz, who plays as a middle blocker, started her career defending São Caetano, then moved to Rexona-Ades in 2000. After leaving Rexona-Ades in 2001, she played for several clubs, before joining Finasa/Osasco in 2004, when she won the Superliga Brasileira de Voleibol, she left the club after the 2006–2007 season.
