The 2005 Norwegian Football Cup Final was the final match of the 2005 Norwegian Football Cup, the 100th season of the Norwegian Football Cup, the premier Norwegian football cup competition organized by the Football Association of Norway (NFF). The match was played on 9 November 2003 at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, and opposed two Tippeligaen sides Molde and Lillestrøm. Molde defeated Lillestrøm 4–2 after extra time to claim the Norwegian Cup for a ninth time in their history. 2005 Norwegian Football Cup
The 2005 Norwegian Football Cup was the 100th edition of the Norwegian Football Cup. The tournament started on 7 May 2005 and was contested by 128 teams, going through 7 rounds before a winner could be declared. The final match was played on 6 November at Ullevaal stadion in Oslo. Molde won their 2nd Norwegian Championship title after defeating Lillestrøm in the final with the score 4–2 after extra time. The clubs from Tippeligaen all made it to the third round (round of 32) without problems. Two surprises came in the third round, as F.C. Lyn Oslo and Tromsø IL lost to Hønefoss BK and Alta I.F. respectively. Alta's inclusion into the fourth round (round of 16) marked the longest a club from Finnmark had ever come in the Norwegian men's football cup. Kjelsås, sometimes called Kjelsaas, is one of the northern neighbourhoods of Oslo situated in Nordre Aker, the northern borough of Oslo, Norway. History Together with Grefsen, Kjelsås was part of the borough ''Grefsen-Kjelsås'' until January 1 2004, when they both became part of the new borough of Nordre Aker. Arild Sundgot
Arild Gilbert Sundgot (born 17 April 1978) is a former Norwegian football striker, who played most of his career for Lillestrøm. He is the younger brother of Ole Bjørn Sundgot, and the son of Otto Sundgot. He was capped several times on youth and under-21 level. He started playing for Lillestrøm in 1997, when he was brought from Hødd by Even Pellerud, the Lillestrøm manager at that time. He is considered one of the best players in the history of LSK, having scored more than 100 league goals during his 15 years tenure at the club.
