2005 Milwaukee Brewers Season
The 2005 Milwaukee Brewers season was the 36th season for the Brewers in Milwaukee, the 8th in the National League, and 37th overall. They finished the season in third place in the National League Central Division. This was also the Brewers’ first non-losing season since 1992. National League Central
The National League Central is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. This division was created in 1994, by moving two teams from the National League West (the Cincinnati Reds and the Houston Astros) and three teams from the National League East (the Chicago Cubs, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the St. Louis Cardinals). When the division was created in 1994, the Pirates were originally supposed to stay in the East while the Atlanta Braves were to be moved to the Central from the West. However, the Braves, wanting to form a natural rivalry with the expansion Florida Marlins, requested to remain in the East. Despite the Marlins offering to go to the Central, the Pirates instead gave up their spot in the East to the Braves. Since then, the Pirates have tried several times unsuccessfully to be placed back in the East. Luis Vizcaíno
Luis Vizcaíno Árias (born August 6, 1974) is a Dominican Republic former professional baseball pitcher. He played for the Oakland Athletics, Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago White Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, New York Yankees, Colorado Rockies, Chicago Cubs, and Cleveland Indians in his career. Career Vizcaíno was signed by the Oakland Athletics as an amateur free agent in . Rick Helling
Ricky Allen Helling (born December 15, 1970) is an American former Major League Baseball pitcher. High school and college Helling attended Lakota High School in Lakota, North Dakota for three years, before graduating from Shanley High School in Fargo, North Dakota. He was a letterman in football, basketball, and baseball. In football, he was a three-time All-Conference honoree. Helling played college ball at Stanford University. Gary Glover
John Gary Glover (born December 3, 1976) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He had a career major league ERA of 5.03 over eight seasons, including time spent with the Anaheim Angels, Chicago White Sox, Detroit Tigers, Milwaukee Brewers, Tampa Bay Devil Rays/Rays and Toronto Blue Jays, who selected Glover in the 15th round of the 1994 Major League Baseball draft. Kane Thomas Davis (born June 25, 1975) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He pitched for the Cleveland Indians, Colorado Rockies, New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, and Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB), as well as the Kia Tigers of the KBO League.
