2005 Men's Hockey European Nations Cup
The 2005 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship was the tenth edition of the Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship, the biennial international men's field hockey championship of Europe organized by the European Hockey Federation. It was held on the complex of the hockey club ATV Leipzig in Leipzig, Germany from 28 August to 4 September 2005. For the first time, there were just eight teams competing instead of twelve. From 2005 on the competition has been held every two years, while the lower-ranked teams got their own championship, divided into a Nations Trophy ("B"-nations) and a Nations Challenge ("C"-nations). Spain won their second title by defeating the Netherlands 4–2 in the final. The hosts and four-time defending champions Germany won the bronze medal by defeating Belgium 9–1. Christopher Zeller (born 14 September 1984) is a German national representative field hockey player. As of 2008, his current club is Rot-Weiss Köln. David Ralph
David Ralph (born 17 August 1972) in Glasgow, Scotland is a former international hockey player who played as a forward for Scotland. He earned his first cap in 1993 and played club hockey for Loughborough Students' Hockey Club. Matthew "Matt" Daly (born 8 July 1983) is an English field hockey player. Daly made his international debut in 2005. He competed for England and Great Britain at numerous tournaments, including the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Daly was born in Saudi Arabia. He has played club hockey for Surbiton and Teddington. He is currently a senior member of staff and hockey coach at Kingston Grammar School Kingston Grammar School is an independent co-educational day school in Kingston upon Thames, England. The school was founded by Royal Charter in 1561 but can trace its roots back to at least the 13th century.

Benjamin Robert Hawes (born 28 July 1980) is a former English field hockey player, a 3x Olympian who played for the English and the British national team in midfield or as a halfback. Mark Ralph (field Hockey)
Mark Ralph (born 10 February 1980 in Paisley) is a field hockey midfield player from Scotland. Ralph earned his first cap for the Men's National Team in 2011 against India, and went on to win 154 caps for Scotland and 24 caps for Great Britain. He scored 74 goals Scotland and 1 goal for GB. Ralph scored many of his goals due to a trademark drag flick.
