The 2005 Men's European Volleyball League was the second edition of the European Volleyball League, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. Ali Peçen (born 30 January 1969 in Istanbul) is a Turkish volleyball player. He is 192 cm and plays as libero. Since the start of the 2007 season, he has played for Fenerbahçe Men's Volleyball Team and wears number 9. He is the team's vice-captain. Simo-Pekka Olli (born November 13, 1985) is a professional volleyball player from Finland. He has played three seasons in Italy A1-league. Sempre Volley Padova was his club years 2005–2008. After that he came back to Finland because he must perform military service. In Finland military service is mandatory for all men. Career Olli started his career as a fourteen-year-old in Varkaus. First he played middle-blocker but the youth national teams coach saw his good set and moved him to setter. His first season in Finland Champion league was 2004–2005. He played in Raision Loimu where he won Finland Cup-Champion and became 4th place in the league. In Raisio Loimu played at the same time as brothers Mikko and Matti Oivanen. Mikko Oivanen (born 26 May 1986) is a Finnish volleyball player, a member of Finland men's national volleyball team. Personal life Mikko has a twin brother – Matti Oivanen, who is also a volleyball player. Career Clubs Oivanen started his career with his brother Matti in Kiikoisten Kirma. Soon Finnish youth national team's coach picks him to youth national team. Mikko moved with his brother to Kuortane and started studying in local high school. Aleksey Igorevich Verbov (russian: Алексей Игоревич Вербов, born 31 January 1982) is a retired Russian volleyball player, a former member of Russia men's national volleyball team and the Russian club Zenit Kazan.
