2005 Karjala Tournament
The 2005 Karjala Tournament took place from November 10–13, 2005. Five games were played in Finland and one was played in Sweden. The tournament was part of the 2005-06 Euro Hockey Tour. Finland won the tournament for eight time in a row, defeating Sverige, 2-1, in the final round. Marcus Ragnarsson
Marcus Ragnarsson (born August 13, 1971) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey defenseman. His last team was Djurgårdens IF of the Elitserien. He previously played nine seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the San Jose Sharks and Philadelphia Flyers. Playing career Ragnarsson was drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the fifth round, 99th overall, in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. He enjoyed tremendous success paired alongside Mike Rathje in San Jose. During a disastrous 2002–03 season for San Jose, Ragnarsson was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers for Dan McGillis. During the NHL lockout, Ragnarsson retired from the NHL and returned to play in his native Sweden. On November 8, 2010, Ragnarsson officially announced his retirement from hockey due to repeated injuries. Jukka Mika Petteri Hentunen (born May 3, 1974) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey forward, who last played with KalPa of the SM-liiga in the 2012–13 season. Lasse Juhani Kukkonen (born 18 September 1981) is a retired Finnish professional ice hockey defenceman. He last played for Oulun Kärpät of the Finnish Liiga. Earlier in his career, he had a four-year stint in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers. Håkan Magnus Kahnberg (born 25 February 1980) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey right winger, who most notably played for Frölunda HC in Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Björn Melin (born July 4, 1981) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey forward, who most notably played with HV71 in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) and the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL).
