2005 Ireland rugby union tour of Japan. Eleven Ireland players, including their captain Brian O'Driscoll, plus their coach Eddie O'Sullivan were included in the British & Irish Lions squad for their tour of New Zealand. As a result, the Ireland squad for this tour featured nine previously uncapped players and an interim coach. David Humphreys (rugby Player)
David Humphreys MBE (born 10 September 1971) is a former Irish rugby union player. He played 72 times for Ireland, scoring 560 points, including 6 tries, and at the time of his international retirement was Ireland's most capped out-half. He played his club rugby for London Irish and Ulster, winning the 1998-99 Heineken Cup, the 2004 Celtic Cup and the 2005–06 Celtic League with the latter. Terenure College RFC was founded on 5 November 1940. It is a senior rugby club in Dublin, Ireland, playing in Division 1A of the All-Ireland League. History Terenure College RFC was founded on 5 November 1940. With a great love for the game and concerned that past pupils were not playing rugby union after leaving school, Rev. Fr Jackie Corbett, O.Carm., chaired a meeting of rugby playing past pupils of Terenure College in the Hotel Lenehan, Harcourt Street, Dublin. Peter Stringer
Peter Alexander Stringer (born 13 December 1977) is an Irish former rugby union player who played at scrum-half. He played 13 seasons with Irish province Munster from 1998 to 2011; he then played seven seasons from 2011 to 2018 in England with various teams — Saracens, Newcastle Falcons, Bath, Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors. Internationally, Stringer represented Ireland and the Barbarians. He announced his retirement from rugby in June 2018. Blackrock College Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club located in Blackrock, Dublin, Ireland. The club was founded in 1882 by former pupils of Blackrock College. Their senior team currently plays in Division 2A of the All-Ireland League Blackrock College RFC was founded in 1882 making it one of the oldest senior rugby clubs in Ireland. Kevin Michael Maggs (born 3 June 1974) is a former Irish rugby union centre. He is currently a scout for the IRFU Ireland national rugby union team. Anthony Horgan (born 15 November 1976 in Cork, Ireland) is a former Irish rugby union player, who played for Cork Constitution, Munster and Ireland. He played the majority of his rugby as a Winger.
