2005 German Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2005 German motorcycle Grand Prix was the tenth round of the 2005 MotoGP Championship. It took place on the weekend of 29–31 July 2005 at the Sachsenring. MotoGP classification The race, scheduled to be run for 30 laps, was stopped after 5 full laps due to an accident. It was later restarted for 25 laps, with the grid determined by the running order before the suspension. The second part of the race determined the final result. 250 cc classification 125 cc classification The race, scheduled to be run for 27 laps, was stopped after 20 full laps due to an accident and did not restart as two thirds of the race distance had been completed. John Hopkins (motorcyclist)
John "Hopper" Hopkins (born May 22, 1983) is a former motorcycle road racer based in the United States. During 2017 he raced in the British Superbike Championship aboard a Ducati 1199 Panigale for Moto Rapido Racing, but suffered injuries from a crash at the season-finale race meeting in October, meaning he could not participate during 2018. He has not made a full recovery, which has so far precluded hopes of a comeback, but he has become involved in rider coaching. From 2020, Hopkins became a rider-coach for American Racing team helping Joe Roberts and Marcos Ramirez in Moto2. Roberto 'Roby' Rolfo (born 23 March 1980) is an Italian former professional motorcycle road racer. He had his best season in 2003, when he finished in second place in the 250cc World Championship. Rubén Xaus (born 18 February 1978 in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain) is a retired motorcycle road racer. During his career he competed in both the Superbike World Championship and the MotoGP. He is nicknamed ' Spider-Man', as his lanky frame leads him to hang over the bike in an unusual way. Early years His father, who competed in amateur mountain bicycle races, gave Xaus his first motorcycle at the age of five, a Montesa 25cc. Antonio "Toni" Elías Justícia (born 26 March 1983) is a Spanish professional motorcycle racer and inaugural champion of the Moto2 World Championship.
