The 2005 FIVB Women's World Grand Champions Cup was held in Tokyo and Nagoya, Japan from November 15–20, 2005. FIVB Volleyball Women's World Grand Champions Cup
The FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior men's and women's national teams of the members of ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The tournament was created in 1993 after radical changes made on the biggest tournaments organised by the FIVB. The main goal was not to have a single year without two high-profile world-level volleyball competitions, alongside the pre-existing men's and women's world championship, men's and women's world cup and the volleyball tournament at the Olympic Games which are all quadrennial and the annual men's and women's Nations League. The World Grand Champions Cup is therefore played quadrennially the year after the Olympic Games and is always hosted by the Japan Volleyball Association. Feng Kun
Feng Kun (; born 28 December 1978 in Beijing) is a retired China women's national volleyball team setter and captain. She was awarded MVP and Best Setter award at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where China won the gold medal in volleyball. Career Feng started to play volleyball at the age of 12 and was selected for the Beijing volleyball team at 16. A year later she was selected for the national team. During this time the China team was at a low point after years of world dominance in the sport. However, the team began to rejuvenate and won the Asian Championship in 2001, came fourth in the World Championship in 2002, won the World Cup in 2003, and then went on to win at the Olympic Games in Athens, having defeated reigning champions Cuba and come from two sets down in the final to beat Russia. Fabiana "Fabi" Alvim de Oliveira (born 7 March 1980 in Rio de Janeiro) is a retired volleyball player from Brazil who won the gold medal at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Career Fabiana started playing volleyball at the age of 13, specializing in defense - and later the libero position - due to her short height. De Oliveira was first called up to the Brazil women's national volleyball team in 2002, under coach Marco Aurélio Motta.
