2005 European Ladies' Team Championship
The 2005 European Ladies' Team Championship took place 5–9 July at Karlstad Golf Club in Karlstad, Sweden. It was the 24th women's golf amateur European Ladies' Team Championship. Venue The hosting Karlstad Golf Club was founded in 1957. The first nine holes of the course, situated 8 kilometres north of the city center of Karlstad, the largest city in the province Värmland in Sweden, was designed by Nils Skiöld and opened in 1959. The second nine holes opened in 1968. Another nine holes, designed by Sune Linde, was completed in 1989 and made it possible to combine two of the three different nine hole courses for an 18 hole round, with par 72 on all available combinations. The club had previously hosted the individual European Amateur Championship for men in 1996 and the Swedish PGA Championship, for men as well as for women, in 1998. Karlstad (, ) is the 20th-largest city in Sweden, the seat of Karlstad Municipality, the capital of Värmland County, and the largest city in the province Värmland in Sweden. Swedish PGA Championship
The Swedish PGA Championship for men is a golf tournament played annually in Sweden since 1970. It has been an event on the Swedish Golf Tour schedule since 1984 and the Nordic Golf League since 1999. History From its beginning in 1970, it was a championship for members of the PGA of Sweden. Since 1986, the tournament has been open to foreign players. The tournament was part of the Challenge Tour from 1990 to 1996 and from 2001 to 2005. Since 1984, when tournament professionals had been dominating the event for several years, there is also a Swedish PGA Club Pro Championship, limited to club professionals in Sweden, with separate competitions for men, women and senior men categories. Kaisa Ruuttila
Kaisa Ruuttila (born 14 October 1983) is a Finnish professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour between 2007 and 2013. She won the 2007 South African Ladies Masters and the 2010 Ladies Finnish Open. Career Ruuttila played for the National Team and represented Finland at three successive Espirito Santo Trophies. She won the Nordic Championship in 2005 and the Finnish Matchplay Championship in 2006. She finished 9th at the 2005 Ladies Finnish Masters, an LET event. Ruuttila turned professional in December 2006 after she earned an LET card at Q-School. In her rookie year, she tied for 6th at the Finnair Masters in her native Finland. Sophie Walker (born 27 May 1971) is a British political activist who was the founding leader of the Women's Equality Party (WE) in the United Kingdom. Felicity Johnson (born 26 February 1987) is an English professional golfer who has played on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour. Johnson started playing golf at five years old and left school at 16 to pursue an amateur career. Emma Victoria (Duggleby) Brown (born 5 October 1971) is an English amateur golfer. She was born Emma Duggleby, her married name is Brown. She won the British Ladies Amateur Golf Championship in 1994 and played in three Curtis Cup matches, in 2000, 2002 and 2004. Early life and career Emma was born to golfing parents. Zuzana Mašínová (born 5 November 1979) is a Czech professional golfer, named Czech Player of the Year five times. In 2008 she won the Swedish Golf Tour Order of Merit to earn a full 2009 Ladies European Tour card.
