Scottish Football League Second Division
The Scottish Football League Second Division was the third tier of the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The Second Division was created in 1975, as part of a wider reconstruction of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Prior to 1975, the SFL had been split into two divisions (Division One and Division Two). The effect of the reconstruction was to split these two divisions into three, with the top flight named the Premier Division, second tier the First Division, and a new third tier was created known as the Second Division. A fourth tier, known as the Third Division, was created in 1994. In 1998, the Premier Division clubs broke away from the SFL to form the Scottish Premier League (SPL). The Second Division continued as before, but it was now the second level of the SFL. In 2013, the SFL and SPL merged to form the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL). Ayr (; sco, Ayr; gd, Inbhir Àir, "Mouth of the River Ayr") is a town situated on the southwest coast of Scotland. It is the administrative centre of the South Ayrshire council area and the historic county town of Ayrshire. Stewart Kean (born 4 March 1983) is a Scottish former professional footballer. Kean played professionally for Ayr United, St Mirren, Queen of the South, Greenock Morton and Stenhousemuir in the Scottish Professional Football League. Kean also played for Craigmark Burntonians and Hurlford United in the Scottish Junior Football Association, West Region Career Kean signed for Ayr United at the start of the 2001–02 season at the start of his senior football career. Kean had 93 league appearances and scored 29 league goals for the ''Honest Men''. Chris Millar
Christopher Alexander Millar (born 30 March 1983) is a Scottish professional football player and coach who currently plays for Troon. Millar was in the Celtic youth system, then started his professional career with Greenock Morton. He then played for St Johnstone for ten seasons, helping them win the Scottish Cup in 2014. Millar returned to Morton in 2018. Career Millar was born in Glasgow. After being released by Celtic in February 2003, Millar signed for then Scottish Football League Third Division side Greenock Morton. Peter Weatherson
Peter Joseph Weatherson (born 29 May 1980) is an English former professional footballer who mainly played as a striker for Greenock Morton. Weatherson also played for Newcastle Blue Star, Queen of the South and Annan Athletic. Weatherson was also joint player-manager of Shettleston in the Scottish Juniors, West Region. Weatherson started his senior career with Dumfries club Queen of the South from 2000 until 2003, after initially playing with local club Newcastle Blue Star. Weatherson then went on to play for Greenock Morton for a decade from 2003 until 2013 and then Annan Athletic from 2013 until 2016, before going to Shettleston in the Scottish Juniors, West Region as joint player-manager. He started his career with his local club Arbroath before a move in 1993 to Tayside neighbours Dundee who paid an Arbroath club record fee of £120,000 to take Paul to Dens Park. David Graham (born 2 June 1983) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a winger for Rathfriland Rangers in Division 1B of the Northern Amateur Football League. Career During his youth career, Graham's former teams include Denny BC, Riverside and Gairdoch United. Graham spent his early career entirely in Scotland, mostly in leagues below the SPL. He started his career as a striker for Stenhousemuir in 2001, for whom he scored 5 goals in 53 league appearances. Steven Gary Hampshire (born 17 October 1979) is a Scottish former professional footballer. During his career, Hampshire played for Chelsea, Dunfermline Athletic, Brechin City, Stenhousemuir and Berwick Rangers. Career Hampshire was born in Edinburgh, Scotland.
