2004–05 Albanian Cup
2004–05 Albanian Cup ( sq, Kupa e Shqipërisë) was the fifty-third season of Albania's annual cup competition. It began on 28 August 2004 with the preliminary round and ended on 11 May 2005 with the final match. The winners of the competition qualified for the 2005-06 first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. Partizani were the defending champions, having won their fifteenth Albanian Cup last season. The cup was won by Teuta. The rounds were played in a two-legged format similar to those of European competitions. If the aggregated score was tied after both games, the team with the higher number of away goals advanced. If the number of away goals was equal in both games, the match was decided by extra time and a penalty shootout, if necessary. Preliminary round Games were played on 28 August – 1 September 2004. KF Naftëtari, also known as Naftëtari Kuçovë, is an Albanian football club based in Kuçovë, Albania. Their home ground is the Bashkim Sulejmani Stadium and they currently compete in the Kategoria e Dytë. Naftëtari means ''Oilmen'', with Kuçovë being the centre of the Albanian oil industry. KF Tërbuni, also known as Tërbuni Pukë, is an Albanian Association football, football club based in the city of Pukë. The club's home ground is the Ismail Xhemali Stadium and they currently compete in the Kategoria e Dytë. History Early history The club was founded in 1936 but were not active until the 1940s. They first competed in a national championship in 1949, where they took part in the Albanian First Division, second tier championship. KF Apolonia is an Albanian football club based in Fier. The club was founded on 17 June 1925 and took its name from the nearby ruins of the ancient city of Apollonia. KS Kastrioti, also known as Kastrioti Krujë, is an Albanian football club based in the city of Krujë. The club's home ground is the Kastrioti Stadium which has a capacity of 8,000 spectators and they currently compete in the Kategoria Superiore.
