2004 World Series By Nissan Season
The 2004 World Series by Nissan was contested over 9 race weekends/18 rounds. In this one-make formula all drivers had to utilize Dallara chassis (Dallara SN01) and Nissan engines ( Nissan VQ). 11 different teams and 31 different drivers competed. Heikki Kovalainen claimed the title for Pons Racing, finishing tenth in first race at Circuit Ricardo Tormo. 2004 Driver Lineup Race calendar and results Every second race saw a mandatory pit stop. Driver standings For every race the points were awarded: 15 points to the winner, 12 for runner-up, 10 for third place, 8 for fourth place, 6 for fifth place, winding down to 1 point for 10th place. Lower placed drivers did not award points. Additional points were awarded to the driver setting the fastest race lap (2 points). The best 14 race results count, but all additional points count. Dallara
Dallara is an Italian race car manufacturer, founded by its current President, Gian Paolo Dallara. After working for Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and De Tomaso, in 1972 in his native village of Varano de' Melegari (Parma), Italy he created "Dallara Automobili". Dallara is also the sole manufacturer of racing cars for the IndyCar Series, Indy Lights, Formula 2, Formula 3 and Super Formula Championships. Dallara produces cars for endurance races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona. Tiago Vagaroso da Costa Monteiro (; born 24 July 1976) is a Portuguese professional racing driver currently competing in the World Touring Car Cup, driving a Honda Civic TCR for Engstler Motorsport. He competed in Formula One between 2005 and 2006 for the Jordan Grand Prix, Midland and Spyker MF1 teams – all different iterations of the same team as it was bought by new owners during a two-year stint as part of the Formula One paddock. Tomáš Kostka (born 27 August 1984) is a Czech racing driver, who lives in Beausoleil, Alpes-Maritimes. Racing career Kostka raced in Formula Ford and the Ford Puma Cup in 2001. He raced in Formula BMW ADAC and Austrian F3 the following year. He moved onto the more competitive Recaro F3 Cup in 2003. He combined another year there in 2004 with races in the World Series by Nissan and Euro Formula 3000 championship.
